Lightly press on the line at the top and bottom of the screen. If the line goes away while presses then its the TCP connector problem. You will have to open the monitor and use a piece of soft rubber to keep the tcp pressed.

Word of caution: TCP is extremely fragile, so be very careful.

Hope this helps

Compaq TFT 8020 Display Problim

have you tried going to menu and setting back to factory defaults? also, disconnect power cable and leave unplugged for 1 minute. Plug back in then see if problem is still there. Otherwise, something is wrong with the monitor that will need serviced or exchanged.

A very thin vertical brun line in the middle

If it's a straight vertical or horizontal line always in the same place it's a panel issue which the average user even with repairing skills will not be able to reliably repair ,Sorry.

LCD 19" Samsung - one half od display has yellow vertical lines

This is surelly a internal failure in the LCD monitor. one of these 2 problems occured. Both of them will however require some profesional service repairs (if they even are possible) 1. You may have a faulty connection between the main board of the display and the LCD pannel. Even if only one wire or one singe pin isn't connected properly the results are pretty spectacular (weird lines on the display, lack of image or weird patterns appearing and so on) 2. The video controller chipset on the mainboard (inside the monitor) is broken and needs to be replaced (however it is a small chance you will find a replacement). I'm sorry if this isn't helpfull but the nature of the problem makes the diagnostic easy but the solving of this problem pretty hard. Good luck.
