Grease accumulation, remove the fours screws on the lower plate, to remove excess grease. further you can unscrew the bolt that are holding the assembly and unplug the unit. after remove fans with allen key and remove motor , clean and reassemble , make shure to put motor the right back the same way. reassemble the same way , problem should be solve for at least 7 years depending on cooking.

The lamp holder assembly snaps into a hole in the range hood with spring clips. To remove the light bulbs, you simply push and turn, like older, bayonet style automotive turn signal bulbs. It seems you have broken your lamp holder assembly. Just break the trim ring so it can be removed, or you can try to take it out reverse polish style by releasing the spring clips from the middle inwards. Once the trim ring is loose, you can extract the body of the lamp holder through the hole... the wires will be barely long enough to stick out the hole if you are lucky. If you are crafty, you may fashion a repair on the separated lamp socket assembly. If not, your replacement part number is SV16569. just call nutone-broan at 800-558-1711 and they will be glad to ship you a new lamp shell socket trim assembly.

Replace Broan Model K260A Range Hood Light Switch Slider Assembly

Hi if the new part has no screw holes or place for clip and it is only push in connector ie you dont need to solder the wires to it then it will just pull out use a small screw driver under the edge and gently pry free you cant damage it anymore than it is anyway can you.
Also on the side of the new switch if their is no groove cut into it for a push on clip to hold it in place then it will just pull out and push the new one in.

Grease dripping from bottom of microwave

sometimes when a microwave is mounted above a range some people dont always consider that you have to take into consideration that you have to go by the heat rating guidelines because it will melt the white lithium grease off the gearing and it can possibly melt some of the protective coating from the circuit boards so check if it is rated to be placed above a range and go from there

My Broan range hood keeps going up and down. Will not stop. I unplugged it and plugged back in but keeps going up and down. The hood is almost 2 yrs old. Pls help. Thank you.

This sounds like something has got into the track area and is setting off the safety. they are designed to stop raising or lowering if they meet any resistance and anything in the track area will cause it to happen in both directions

I have a Broan Elite 2736 downdraft range fan that is 3 years old. Upon using it , it started to go up and then down without stopping until I unplugged it. I replugged it in and it continues to go up and...

Broan model 2736A won't stay up

In my case, I pushed the button, the housing goes fully up, then right back down. I removed and disassembled the unit for cleaning. After Assembly I located two microswitches that cause the extension moror to stop at the top and at the bottom of the swing. In my case, the inertia of the motor caused the unit to "Coast" thru the top of the stroke and continue back down. I bent the outer 1/3 of the metal tabs that depress the microswitches so that the unit stopped rising a wisker sooner and no longer goes back down without pushing the button. The same coasting theroy may apply at the bottom of the stroke. The motor that runs the up and down motion is controlled by three switches, the two limit switces plus the momentary push button switch. If you don;t need to completely remove your unit for cleaning, the microswitchs can be located by removing the fan housing and looking up from inside the cabinet (under the stove) on the right side. IN my case, there was 10 years of goop to be removed.

Hood operates very loudly

Hi,
Often the dirt and grease will build up on the fan/blower wheel and then some of it will come off throwing the wheel out of balance... this creates an intense vibration of of course a lot of noise...
Take the hood apart and clean everything really good and check the motor bearing to make sure they are not bad...(loose motor shaft in and out or up and down)...

Then you should be quiet again...

Broan Allure QS2 Range Hood

Had same problem & fuse fixed it.
Before buying a new control board (approx $160), check the 3 amp fuse located on the inside of the vent on the control board. You have to take the light/bottom housing & black plastic air chute off to see control board/fuse.
