What do you mean by vehicle please. Are you talking about a toy, a civilian motor vehicle, an industrial truck maybe or maybe a large military type vehicle e.g. tank or tank transporter ?

USB ports dont do anything when I insert a USB key. I think its because of the Device Manager missing some devices. I check and I use to have lots of devices under the Universal Serial Bus Controller but...

Hi gracie,

I suspect that your motherboard chipset drivers have become corrupted; that would cause the USB problems you've described. What motherboard does your system use? If you can't identify it, simply download Belarc Advisor from here:

Save Belarc Advisor to the Desktop; when the download is complete, double-click the file ("advisor.exe") and run it. Belarc should be able to tell you which motherboard you have. Post the make and model of the motherboard here and then maybe someone can help you find the motherboard chipset drivers you need. Once you reinstall the chipset drivers, your USB problems should be solved.

Run Belarc and post the information about your motherboard. Also, don't forget to reboot your system after you reinstall the chipset drivers. You MUST reboot to get the USB drivers to load at bootup, which should solve your problems.

No sound

I don't know what operating system you're running or what type of motherboard, but I'll do my best to help. Assuming you've checked your speaker connections and they are ok, the next thing you'll need to do is go into the device manager to check the status of the audio/game controllers (that would be your sound card or, if integrated audio, the chipset used). Click on start-control panel - system - hardware- device manager, then scroll down to audio, game controllers, click on the plus sign in front of sound, video, game controllers and see if there are any yellow triangles with an exclamation point (!). If you see anything like that, it means the audio drivers were never installed, and you'll have to either reinstall the drivers from the disk that came with the motherboard or sound card, or you'll have to download from the manufacturer's website. Next, check in the lower right hand corner of your screen (called the system tray). If there is a speaker icon, click on it and check and see if mute is selected. If you don't see any speaker icon, again, download or install the drivers.

Ethernet Controller and SM Bus Controller was been uninstalled

If you have your motherboard disk with you try to install it from there and if not then you should know your ethernet controller brand or motherboard brand and model number then you can download the driver from your particular motherboard site.

I changed my hard drive cos it was bad.the new one i got is working fine but no sound comes from anything i play on my pc, pls need assistance now

Go to start, control panel, sounds & audio devices. Make sure that the mute box is unchecked. If that is good, then you may have to download the audio driver for your device again. If you have the sound device integrated on the motherboard, you should have a driver disk for it for the motherboard. If not, check online for your motherboard and download the driver. If you have a sound card, once again, download the driver from the disk or if no disk, go to site of the model of the card and download the driver. Hope this helps!

Since you don't know how to find the ERG-valve, I suggest that you take your vehicle to a registered and certified auto-mechanic, and get the repair done properly.

Since you don't want to get "under" your vehicle to find the dip-stick that is connected to the transmission, again I suggest that you take the vehicle to a trained specialist.

Hi! Mi laptop was working perfect, and suddenly the audio icon has an X on it and says NO AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE IS INSTALLED How can I recover it? Thanks

Did you download or install anything that might tamper around with the audio. If you did then uninstall it and reinstall it, that might help. Alright if that doesn't help then go into Control Panel and click on the Icon that says "Sounds and audio devices." Or something similar.

Play around with the settings and see if your situation improves. You may have to go into the "Audio tab" and set the Sound Playback and default device to what ever your sound card name is. If you dont know what your sound card name is then just play with those settings. Another thing that you could use is system restore.

System restore is in (Start, All programs,Accessories,System tools,System Restore). Restore it to the date that your audio was working fine. System restore wont delete your files or anything.

I have windows xp so things might be different on your computer.

Please rate me a thumbs up if I helped.

Here is another option: you can see if your computer has even recognized the device by going into the computer management again, accept this time check the "disk management" instead of device manager. You should see your hard drive listed and hopefully your flash drive is there as well. If it is try right clicking on the drive and select "change drive letter..."select something like "x" and see if that helps it to appear.

I know you may not want to hear this, but If this doesn't work you may need to resort to adding a PCI card with some new ports on it.
