I've got a canon ip3500 which is doing the same thing. I don't see any paper jammed in it, but can't get it to pull through properly.

I was given a printer because the previous owner said the paper wasn't being pulled through completely.
I opened up the compartments to check the wheels; finally I opened the back compartment (exactly behind the printer) and found a Q-Tip stuck in there. Now it works!

Paper jam problem

Hi Sarah, do you have an epson printer?
In these years i had this problem with a lot of Epson Printers...
Well, if this is the situation, i'm sorry to tell you that this is caused by the printer pick up rollers that are worn, so... you can try to wipe with alcohol the surface of the rollers, but there's no way to fix this...
You can try to gently push the paper inside the printer when it takes the sheet

Align paper

This can be the result of a piece of paper (or similar) jammed in the printer - can be very small - and usually pulls the paper to one side. Another reason may be something on the roller (have you printed labels - especially part sheets?). Do you get regular marks on the printed paper?

C4680 All-In-One Inkjet Printer: paper won't fed and nothing prints...

Hi, i dont know you've got the same problem as i did. But i tell you how i fixed my problem. My printer said i ran out of paper, but there's plenty of paper where it should be. What i did to fix it was that i pulled some paper (remove the gray back plastic, turn pinter around, you can see the rubber rollers now) futher out and then placed the gray plastic back. Put the printer off and on the paper comes out. Then again off and on, then go rpint of copy something and it works again. I hope you it does the trick for your problem.

Lexmark X5400 Series AIO Feed Problems

Hi,
Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC. Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry.
Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and replug and try a test print.
Also make sure that you have waited long enough for the printer to heat up before giving a print job.
Finally, it could be an issue with the paper sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for servicing..

Thanks, Anu

Printer will only pull the paper in from one side.

Hi !!
Usually this problem happens if there is something wrong with paper feed rollers which is inside the printer .

But to fix teh problem you can try this ---

take out ink cartridges, all the cables, power adapter (black rectangular box at the back) and papers from the paper feeder . Then take the printer in your hands, keep it like upside down and shake it for a while .Then keep it back in its position

Afetr 10-15 mins , install cartridges, cables, power adapter and just 1 sheet of paper on the printer . try to print somethg if still it dows same thg then it means that This is a time to buy a new printer on this christmas !!

Regards
Priya

Paper feed and printing problem

Don't know if it's the same problem i had but its maybe worth a try. My paper went in a little, the wheels were turning but it didn't take the rest of the paper or print.
Someone replied to my problem, i tried it and it fixed 1st time. Also seems to of worked for others, it seems to reset the sensors or something.
Solution:- Use a piece of thin card, a magazine cover is what i used, make sure its A4 size then try to print something, as the paper starts moving push it through!! and hey presto it worked for me, everything printing fine now.
hope it works, let me know, Garty
