You'r fans are still good just the board is not giving it any power. I took myne apart and blew it out with my compresser and that helped some.... But i just got a 12V wall plug in screwed a hole in the back and ran diffrent wires to it.
Had the same problem; here's what i did. Take DVD out of Receiver, close door to receiver and hold down stop button on receiver itself for five(5) seconds. changes should take effect and progressive scan screen should revert back to sanyo screen.
In DVD mode, Progressive Scan shows on screen. Just press the stop button on the front panel for about 5 - 10 seconds and it will go back to standard mode. I did the same thing tonight and I just tried pressing buttons
Because you have limited knowledge of your products history, first ensure that your Country Code is set correctly. Using your remote, access your User Menu/Setup > Country Code > U S > Memory > Setup. I am assuming that you are in the US, and are trying to view Region 1 DVD's.
