I have a Kensington 7 hub which is pretty new. Only being in use for approximately a month although I bought it soem time ago. Whenever I place it in a USB Port on my computer I have an error message telling me that it has malfunationed and that it is not recongnized by windows. Rather than throwing it away and buying new is there another solution please?

The problem is I have lost the manual. I am running on XP and it has worked intermittedly. However. yesterday it starting giving out the error message and hasn't worked since. I'll wait until I get to work and try it on a machine there

Once again thanks for your solution

Look in your manual that came with your Kensington 7 hub. I look one up & look at the spec's, it says it is "Vista compatable". Are you using "XP"? Is it compatable with "XP"? If it is make sure you have the right driver with it. If all those thing check out ok, then your Kensington 7 hub is defective.

Let me know how it goes.

Drivers for Win 7?

It is likely that you are attaching the docking station with a laptop running Windows 7 OS. In this case you should visit the Kensington Europe website and download and install the latest software version of K33926 Kensington Universal Notebook Docking Station with VGA/DVI and Ethernet Software for Windows 7, Vista, and XP (5.2.22372.0) Note that this is a combo software that includes the drivers for both the video and ethernet.
