Move your speakers away from the monitor and see if that helps.

How do you adjust brightness on a Gateway ZX4971. There are no buttons on the monitor.

My Gateway monitor instructions refer to buttons located on the right side. The procedure calls for pressing the Auto button first to set the display image for the current screen resolution then pressing the Menu button to open the on-screen display (OSD) menu. You can move through the OSD menu to select parameters such as Picture (brightness).

Compaq monitor auto adjusting

Press the button labeled "Auto" on the front of your Compaq monitor. This runs an automatic configuration utility designed to examine your current settings and adjust them to reach the best possible picture quality.

This utility will take only a few seconds and will adjust things like the sharpness, brightness and resolution of the image being displayed. Press the "Menu" button on the front of your Compaq monitor to adjust your monitor's screen settings manually in the event that the auto configuration utility has not done so to your liking.

Navigate to the "Picture" category of your Compaq monitor's on-screen menu to adjust settings like "Brightness" and "Sharpness." These settings can be useful if your monitor is displaying an image that is fuzzy or too dim.

Use the "Color" setting to adjust the amount of red, green and blue that your monitor displays. These settings can be useful if your monitor is displaying too much of one color or not enough of another.

Use the "Default" menu option to reset your Compaq monitor to its original factory settings. This changes any settings you have altered back to the way they were set when the monitor left the Compaq factory

hope this helps

Vizio 19 offset, pale picture

there might be some adjustment tabs/buttons on your monitor which will centre your screen

click start control panel, display, desktop you can select a different desktop from the drop down list

or a browse button where you can select different pictures this may vary depending on your operating system

also you can change the settings for more or less pixels or from the drop down list pick the appropriate level of color range or troubleshoot also select advanced then general dpi normal size, larger size or custom settings
always click APPLY after making any changes

and you might need to update your drivers to get more colour

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scoll to scroll to monitors + to expand plug and play monitor you might see a yellow question or exclamation mark ? or red x you will have to update the driver right click where you have options to update driver

Hello, my video card is nvidia geforce 6150 le and the red color is gone, thank you for your help.

You should be able to adjust the color balance for the card. There will be software on your machine that allows you to set the color balance and other things. Usually there is at least some red However if the red is totally gone then it could be a problem with the cabling/connector between the desktop and the monitor, like a loose pin or wire. It is possible that it may be the monitor that has the red out. So first check your connections and your color balance. If that seems ok then try another monitor before you go further. If a different monitor has the same problem (with different cabling too) then you will know.

I've lost the red color to my computer. How can I fix it?

If you are using a CRT monitor and you have lost the colour RED, then whats known as the colour gun is faulty. It can be replaced at a cost. However you might find it cheaper or economically sound to purchase a new LCD monitor.

Remember to also check your screen by pushing the menu key on it.

In the menu, under colour management ensure that all colours are set to 50%.

If it is then above colour gun theory is correct.

All the best!
