How do you reset computer to remove engine light?

what computer of many?
to get them all pull battery neg lug for 15min
make sure radio license codes are learn first.
he radio manual (glove box) tells how.

Remove + cable from battery, wait 20 minutes and replace. This should reset computer code.

Sometimes for this light to turn off you will need to reset the computer system that logged the code. Advance Auto and Auto Zone have a free service that will do this for you, they will also be able to tell you if the check engine light has logged a code for some other then the gas cap. Just go into Advance Auto or Auto Zone and say "Could you reset my check engine light for me?" they will grab their scanner tool and ask you to lead them to your vehicle, they will need to turn your car to the ON position but not start it.

Hi, if your car engine light comes on and after connecting it to the computer it looks o.k, then you should try reseting the engine light by remove the positive battery cable from the battery post and leave it off for about five minutes. Then, reattach the battery cable to the battery. You can do this with a basic 1/2-inch or 9/16-inch wrench. Removing the battery cable will reset the "Check engine" light as long as there is nothing serious wrong with the engine.

DO NOT TRY TO REPAIR/REPLACE module yourself unless you have the diagnostic computer to be able to set/reset functions,keys etc.....the check engine light can be reset by a dealer.remember diahatsu is owned by toyota/lexus could work out cheaper calling to see if they are willing to reset

you need a scan tool to check and then clear the codes

Must have engine computer scanned to get codes and determine cause of check engine light. Low tire light probably needs reset. Open passenger door and remove panel on side of dash. Reset switch should be located in that compartment.

u may need to have sensor replaced which one depends on computer code but u can reset by disconnecting battery for 1 min or removing ecm/computer fuse

THE SIMPLE WAY IS TO REMOVE THE NEGITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL AND LEAVE 5 MINUTES THEN REPLACE IF THE FAULT COMES BACK YOU STILL HAVE TROUBLE

Try removing any of the battery cables for at least 15 minutes. Pls be warned though that this will reset the vehicle's computer and would require driving around several times before the computer learns again your driving habits. Additionally, there are some car stereos that would require a code to work again when the battery cable is removed.
