Question about Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher

Whirlpool dishwasher repetes cycles continiously

Whirlpool series 940 / mdl GU940SCGQ3 goes back and restarts the series of cycles, the Normal indicating light will come on at the restart.
I suspect the membrane in the front panel or circuit board, With out the wiring diagram I can not check the membrane(control buttons). Maybe past experience will answer this.

Yes does sound like a "stuck"button within the membrane switch cause constant restarting and/or re-cycling. wire diagram and tech sheet are generally located under the lower acesss panel(unless previous repair ***** returned it). tried looking up the part couldnt find exact model match mine all ended in Q1,Q2, ** Q3, but parts from my models ranged from 110-165

Same problem and I was about to call for service. Opened the dishwasher to get the model number and noticed a sticker stating to hold down the Heated Dry button for 5 seconds to clear the lock light. Worked for me!

Whirlpool dishwasher reset code

Yup, found it on another site..I had the same issue today.

Reset code: Push 1. Heat Dry 2. Normal 3. Heat Dry 4. Normal

wait about 2 minutes as the controller resets itself. You should see all the leds flash on and then wash and rinse leds stay on for about 30 seconds. A minute or so later ..presto, my machine worked again.

My machine is not the GU3200XTP, but in the same Whirlpool tall tub series (same manual) so leds may not have the same name.

Normal cycle light flashing

If its the ormal led flashing that is normally caused by a stuck key ing the key pad. Might try unplugging and plugging back in but sounds like you need a new touchpad.

I don't know if your dishwasher is the same as mine, but this solution may be what you need. For electronic panel dishwashers made by whirlpool (mine is a whirlpool but with a kenmore name on it), some of them can be reset by pushing in sequence the Heated-Dry button followed by the Normal-Wash button, several times in a row. that is... Push Heated-Dry, then Normal-Wash, Then Heated-Dry, then Normal-Wash... Repeat until all lights light up. When all lights light up you can stop. The washer will then take 5-10 minutes to go through a diagnostics cycle, which is about 18-25 steps or so. You can bypass one step at a time by pushing the STart button. This may not apply to your washer, but is pure gold if it does. Good Luck!
