Microinventions PD952P wireless mouse stopped working. New Batteries installed. The light comes on in the mouse and the other MI device that connects to the puter via USB. Was working fine yesterday!!

1.) Press the button on the receiver (the "antenna" which is connected to the PC by USB) to reset it. Sometimes, they don't have a button. If that's the case, unplug it from the PC, wait 5 seconds, and then reconnect it to the PC. Then, press the reset button on the bottom of the mouse. You should do these in the exact order described. If this doesn't work, then...
2.) It may be some sort of settings/software update issue. Rather than trying to weed out the particular issue, performing a System Restore would be much easier. Click Start/All Programs (or just "Programs")/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore. You will want to choose a Restore Point with a date which is BEFORE your issue started. System Restore can take up to 20 minutes and should not be interrupted. If this fails, try...
3.) Check the driver. In Windows XP, click Start, RIGHT-click My Computer, click Properties, select the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. In Windows Vista/7, click Start, RIGHT-click Computer, click Properties, click on Device Manager (the link at the top of the left-hand pane). Look for anything in this list which has a yellow question mark or exclamation point. If there is, Right-click it and select Uninstall. Then, Right-click on Computer (top of the list) and click Scan for Hardware Changes. This will reinstall it.
4.) If that doesn't work, you may have a virus. Scan with your antivirus software. If this is unsuccessful, follow your manufacturer's instructions for a System Recovery. Important: This will delete all of your files too, so backup anything on the PC which is important to you (pics, music, documents, etc.).
Hope this helps and best of luck!

Microsoft lazer mouse ,, 5000 mod 1058 ,, lazer stoped working need schematic in order to replace lazer ,,,and place to get parts ,,,,,, Thank`s

Most likely you will not be able to find schematics or parts for your mouse since it was most likely made in China and a new mouse is cheap.

My wireless mouse - cursor refuses to follow sometimes!

Try cleaning the lazer on bottom with a q tip with some rubbing alcohol on it. Check to make sure the reciever for the mouse isn't too close to any wireless router, phone,or microwave. In the control panel there are mouse settings you can play with too to see if that makes a difference. Re-install any software for the mouse.

Mouse has stopped working! equipment: Micro Inovative Wireless Mid-size Optical Mouse. lights work on both the receiver and the mouse; however, the light on the mouse frequently flashes rapidly between...

hehe, sorry it made me giggle. When you pick up an optical mouse it blinks trying to establish a reading on the surface it's on. Since it's in mid air and there is no surface, it will continually blink until you put it down.

This definately sounds like dirt over the optical lense (given that you are certain the batteries are "good" not simply "unused"). Take a paint brush with about 150 bristles and thuroughly clean inside the hole on the bottom of the mouse that emits the light.

Mouse will not work. I can get green light flashing, but will not work.

If you recently change batteries you must reconnect the wireless circuit between the transmitter and the mouse. On the bottom of the mouse there is a tiny little button that says connect...hit it. sometimes that same button is located on the transmitter part, look for it and push connect or reconnect.
Now if this isn't a wireless mouse- well I just hope it is and that it helps you.
Good fortune...

I've charged my Targus wireless mouse (PAKP003U) and plugged in the USB adapter thing, making sure the light is on. The mouse is on also, but it is still not working.

Your windows computer must install the drivers for the wireless adapter for your mouse when you plugged it in. Given that the light is on the adapter I'm assuming it works.

There should be a small button on the mouse and the adapter somewhere. Press the button with a paperclip or something small enough to get to it and the light should start flashing. Now press the button on the mouse. Both lights should be on solid.

This connects both the adapter and mouse on the same wireless channel to work together.

Good Luck!

I was just about to write "I have the same problem", but i think i fixed it!!!!

background: I move my wireless keybd/mouse between my desktop and laptop units.... All was fine until a few days ago when some update completely disabled my desktop... I think the wireless began malfunctioning about the same time.

Just now, I pressed the ?reconnect button? on the front of the keybd/mouse receiver then pressed the connect buttons on the back of each device and PRESTO!! the keybrd works!!!

I just typed this entire message with the wireless keybd.

I hope this helps someone
