Wont read disks - Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

Will it read ANY kind of disks? Like music, or DVD's? If yes, then it may be your disks you are trying to play. If no, then your Disk Drive is bad and needs to be replaced.

Did you try using different disks?If you have alreay tried then please use lens cleaner to clean the lens

This is annoying and i think you should try a disc cleaner to get rid of hidden dust or the disc could just have formatted itself

your cd drive reads disk, it probably is bad

u should look up hard drives on wikiapedia

If you haven't already, try running a dvd cleaner through it a couple times. Usually clears it up for me.

Your disk may be damaged. If it has scratches on it that can cause major problems. But the worst problems are caused by fingerprints. Fingerprints prevent the laser from reading the data on the disk. If your disk has fingerprints, run it under the water faucett and, using a soft cloth (the kind you would clean eyeglasses with), wipe from the center to the outside of the disk, not in a circle. If the problem persists, the Halo 3 data on your hard drive may be corrupted. Delete the data and try starting the game then.

Have you tried a lens cleaner kit?
This is the CD-ROM with a small brush on it to clean your laser lens head.
This problem has happened to me in the past and this solved the problem.
It is a common problem for any lens reading console.

this is a possible laser read problem.
Try an official DVD Movie. And also a music CD.
if it reads nothing at all, i,d suggest a laser head cleaner.
Or a replacement DVD Drive.

Could it be that the Rock Band disk is simply defective or dirty? Definately return the CD to the store. 

My PS2 just got the same problem. Let me know if you get anything.
