I have had the bios chip fail on a couple of Abit motherboards. You may want to replace this or perhaps flash your bios first. these chips are in the $20-30 range and easy to r&r. Make sure you pull the battery first!

Actully you are not selecting the reall speed of CPU thats why it asks. Its better to use the default setting of your BIOS as it was provided by company as per your specification.

Thanks
Iqbal

    Ok,

When you goto bois setup to set your CPU speed. See there might be an option like "Load Page Default" or some thing like that. In P3 mainly BOIS use the F7 function key for Default value.

You can also find Default setting on the BIOS main page.

    Thanks

How to set dell 530 to boot from usb

During start up of your system constantly hit either F2 or F12 to enter Bios.
Once in Bios you can configure your boot settings to boot from Your USB device. Bios is pretty self explanatory even for those of us not to familiar with it myself even. Unfortunately mouse is not usanle in Bios. I've had to go to Bios many times on older systems just to boot from cd/dvd Also to correct problems others have made in the boot settings.
Anyway In Bios there is a little summary of each changeable feature within it. Once you make your selection(s) make sure to save changes so you do not have to keep resetting them to your own personal preference. You should be asked upon exiting if you want to save. Your machine should automatically restart and ask you to press any key to but from your device. If you do not hit any key your machine will but normally from harddrive and you will have to restart the system and wait for it to ask again.

Remove password from hardrive in bios

Before your computer loads your operating system, it starts by running the BIOS program, which is extremely important because of its various options.

You can even set a password on your hard drive so that nobody can use your laptop computer without your password.

Once you put in the password into your hard drive, you can only remove it by accessing the BIOS system and deleting the password completely from the memory of your computer.

Save all of your important files on an external hard drive or similar storage device.
This is a precaution to avoid losing all of your files when making changes to the BIOS.

Then, restart your computer.
Wait for your computer's operating system to ask you to access the BIOS menu.

This may be at different times, depending on the manufacturer of your computer.
It can ask you when the manufacturer's logo comes up, or on a separate screen indicating for you to click the "F2" button on your keyboard to start.

Access the BIOS menu by clicking the key or combination of keys that you are informed to click. This information can be found in your computer's manual, but it changes between different companies.

Commonly used keys for this process are "F10", "F2" and "Delete."
Go to the BIOS option that contains your hard disk drive password.

The option that will lead you to this password varies immensely due to different laptop models, but it may appear as something such as "Advanced" or "Security."

Look for the option for changing the password, which should say "User Password," and then click "Enter." Put in the existing password and then click "Enter."

Do not enter any password into the blank fields asking you to enter a new password, and this will remove the password.

Exit the menu by clicking "Save and Exit." Click "Enter."

Bios speed slow fast karni hai

First of all, your computer must be completely powered down and turned off before starting this process. You won't be able to edit the BIOS in sleep mode or hybernation mode. Next, power on the PC and enter the system BIOS. How you enter the system BIOS screen will vary according to your computer's manufacturer. This usually involves a series of keystrokes. Which keys are used will depend on your system. Now that we are in the BIOS screen, we are ready to speed up Windows XP boot time. Find the Boot menu and select it using the arrow, Tab and Enter keys on your keyboard. In most systems, you'll find a Quick Boot option. Enabling this will skip common system self tests that occur automatically when the computer is powered up.
In the next step to speed up boot time, look for the Boot Device Priority option. You should change the first boot device to your hard drive. This will speed up boot time, but won't allow you to boot via a boot disk like CD or floppy. If you make this change, then need to boot from a disk later, you can re enter BIOS and change it back. Next, choose the option Exit and Save Changes and the computer will restart.
Always Remeber to do this process carefully because a wrong action will cause destruction and make your computer useless.

My cpu fan speed is countinuely high guide me how to low the fan speed

The speed is determined by a cause ..and to make it worked like It used to , you have to eliminate the cause...It probably has a dirty heat dispenser ..and the cleaning will make it run smooth again ...but also check the bios settings for the fan ..For dell there are available more than one modes..and you can go to bios and see which way is set ..Select the quiet mode and save changes on exit

Emachine t5230 cpu fan too fast

Hi orinzelenak,

This may seem like to simple, but try checking to see if the technician plugged the fan power supply into the correct pin for it. It sounds like the fan is plugged into a external plug directly from the power supply and not into the board, which would control the fan speed for you. Give a look, and maybe it's just that simple.

Good Luck

Cpu will not boot even in safe mode

Make sure you have'nt left a floppy disc in the drive when booting up. If you havent press F2 or DEL on startup and enter the bios. In advanced bios settings ensure that the HDD is set at first boot device, if not select by means of either + or - keys or up and down arrows on number pad. Press Esc when done and save settings and exit to re boot system.
