Question about D-Link AirPlus DI-524 Wireless Router

USB wireless connectio

Hi there

This one's kinda strange:

I do not understand why my usb wireless connection gets cut after some minutes. When I start my notebook everything (internet connection) is fine for some minutes, but after a short while it gets suddenly disconnected. Then I have to "repair" it (right mouse click on the little pc icon), then it works for about 30 seconds again, then it gets automatically disconnected once again. Over and over.

I don't think this is quite logical, isn't it?

Also: does anyone know how to boost the capacity of my usb wireless stick? I barely can reach the networks I need. Maybe this is part of the above mentioned issue.

Thank you guys!

Unkown device when plus in usb to pc

Hi there

As I understand it you get Unkown device notice when you plug the router in to your PC via USB.

With routers/modems/access points that have USB connection the PC do not pick up the USB like other devices. You will have to install the drivers for the USB which will be on the CD that came with the Linksys.

You can go to the following link to get more details on the drivers: Linksys(Cisco) Support

Hope this helps

I get good connection through my Belkin Play USB adapter for about 5 minutes or so, then it tells me that I am experiencing limited connectivity. I unplug and replug the adapter, it resets, works for a few...

Hi Sir

for experience I can recommend you to change your configurations in your router like a security mode Disable Q.O.S,W.P.S and Firewall, also download the last firmware of your Belkin F7D.

USB adapter just only received wireless signal but if the emitter is not in the same range u will still have a problems .

Hope this time you can resolve it any questions please let me know

Connecting wireless to ps3

SSID is the name of the internet connection (ex. randomD9), WEP Key is the password if any for the connection (ex. 123456). Just to tell you, Mobile internet isn't supported by the PS3 so you would have no luck with this. Maybe in the future when the firmware updates but for now the best thing to do is to get a wired connectio or a wireless.

My first solution to you would be to download and update your bios. If you do make sure to understand the instructions, because you can permanently destroy your pc if you do it wrong.
Good luck,

Sounds like the drive is dying. Is it externally powered, or powered through the USB port? How old is the drive? When you say 'strange' what does it sound like?
