Inside door handle stopped working

The inside door handle on my 2006 Ford Fusion SEL no longer opens the door. The outer door handle still works. When the problem first happened, I tried opening the door and there was a ''pop'' and now the handle will not open the door

Beside removing the (2) screws from the door panel, should I take a screw driver and snap the panel out?

The inside door hanger came off you need to remove inside door panel a couple of screws and need to pop off panel to replace hanger

you have to open the door panel and you will see the link has dropped ou of its retainer just push it bak and make sure you lock the tab yo shouel be fine

2009 ford fusion left ft door wont open from inside power lock works must roll down window to open with outside handle

Either the linkage connected to the handle has come off, or the piece on the handle inside has broken. You will need to remove the panel from the door and repair or replace the handle.

The inside door handle won't open door from inside outside door works fine it's on drivers side 2006 ford fusion selv6

It sounds like the connecting rod popped out of its plastic connector. Pull the door panel off and check both ends of the rod. It must be unhooked at one end or the other.

Either the inside door hanle is broken or the linkage is disconnected iside the door. You will have to remove the door panel to inspect and find out which it is.

My 2006 ford fusion also has a faulty drivers door inside handle not working. I went to get out one day & the door "popped" but didnt open all the way, & suddenly the inside handle doesnt...

i had the same problem, the inner door handle is broken.its made out of cheap plastic and happens quite a bit with fords.the part is oem only and costs around 50 bucks. easy to replace. just take your door panel off and unscrew the old one and replace it with the new one. hope this helps.

2006 Ford Fusion. Left front door inside handle

This link is from the handle to the latch. The door panel has to be removed in order for this problem to be fixed. The linkage is inside the door panel, it is a small diamater metal rod called a link. If you do the job yourself be careful not to break the door panel. In a shop, the labor is 1 hour for the job & if any, parts will be a seperate charge.

Rear door will not open on my 2007 Ford Fusion. It won't open from the inside or the outside. I removed the interior door panel and can look inside the door. I can see the mechanism for the outside door...

use the fob and keep clicking unlock/lock button see if everything is moving.then try banging outside of the door about 6 inches from door handle while pressing unlock.has worked on some other cars like vw audi and vauxhall

The plastic door handle is broken.
You will need to get a replacement door handle.
