Was the computer connected to the Internet with a LAN cable when you installed Windows 7. During the Windows 7 installation Windows will automatically find and download the drivers.
The HP/Compaq WEB site may have a WEBcam driver for your model laptop.
If all else fails then try installing Windows 7 again and make sure the laptop is connected to the Internet before you start the installation.

To check if your Compaq is suitable for Windows 7, run the Windows 7 upgrade advisor.

It is highly unlkely this old computer can run on Windows 7.
You can run a Windows 7 upgrade advisor tocheck if your computer is suitable for Windows 7.

your system bios should be upgrade first. Find bios upgrade software from your laptop vendor's website. upgrade bios first then install Win 7.

Generally the specs for Windows XP machines are good enough for upgrading to Windows 7 without too much cost.

But, Windows 98 was a bit further back in the history of Windows.

You can go to Microsoft.com and use an upgrade advisor to see if Windows 7 will work on your machine.

And, they'll tell you the cost.

Yes of course you can upgrade your Vista PC to Windows 7.

The only thing you have to do is back all your wanted files like movies, pics, docs etc to slave or storage drive. Then you can proceed to install Windows 7. Just make sure you install over the Vista partition if you are going to perform a clean install.

If you just want to upgrade and keep your settings just pop the disc in while you are using the Vista machine.

not its possible.... that resolution come with the LCD of the laptop and the only way its buying a lcd screen that support more resolution.. Pls click if my solution was helpful
