Hi , My monitor (Philips CRT monitor 109B50) keep showing the phrase 'LIGHTFRAME ON LIGHTFRAME OFF' why is it so? Lastly the blue configuration box with language/zoom/adjust ,eveything ... kept...

It would appear that the control panel buttons are either stuck, or malfunctioning all together. You could take a pen knife and gently lift the buttons and see if the issue stops.
If it does not then your monitor is malfunctioning and will need to be replaced. I would verify your warranty as most monitors carry a 3 year warranty.

Keeps switching on and off.

sonia7palmer, If 190C still does same when reconnected to a KNOWN GOOD pc with the WIN-desktop showing, you WILL do one of the following: 1. Trade in for new wide screen LCD unit! The Technician in the back of the store will (with a little luck) put $3 to $7 in parts into your monitor so he will have a spare at home to use. 2. Do a cash+old unit swap with Philips for a REFURBISHED unit. $50 to $100 cost if they even support your unit yet. 3 Check with local TV/monitor repair shop to repair your unit. $50 to $90. 4. View repair and or disassembly videos(8-12minutes) on YOUTUBE of LCD monitors being worked on and repaired for low cost DO-IT-YOURSELF'ERS" and also check out other sites like www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm , and www.lcdparts.net
to see if that interests you. If this info helps please rate this response on fixya. 12fixlouie Bye for now.

Hi my philips monitor keeps flickering on and off. I hear a clicking sound but the monitor will not stay on.

You are hearing mini-sized lightning bolts.

Turn the monitor off, before it burns your house down.

Disconnect it.

Find a Recycling Station that will responsibly recycle your monitor.

Buy a new monitor.

Cannot show laptop image on external monitor via Svideo connector

If you want to use your TV as an external monitor, you have to connect them via VGA (top) or DVI (bottom) cable.
Which connections does your Philips monitor have?

USB and speakers not working.

Have you got..
  1. A USB cable from the computer connected to the USB input on the monitor? It needs that cable to supply USB outputs from the monitor. The monitor acts as a USB hub.
  2. The speakers on the monitor also require a cable from the soundcard on your computer to the sound input of the monitor.
