Take the battery out and give the circuits a good clear (a violent few blows will do the trick (or a can of air).

Worked for me :)

Hi, My phone has a headset mode on and i cant get it off. I dont even own a headset so how do I turn the mode off?

You didn't specify what kind of phone, but since most headsets now connect via bluetooth turning off the bluetooth service will disable the headset mode. Some phones have ability to use a headset that plugs into the phone as well. If the connector is dirty or gotten wet (corrosion), this can cause the phone to think a headset is connected.

The headset jack is jammed.
Try blowing some compressed air in there and also insert a headset plug and wiggle it about to see if it knocks the stuck bit loose.

My LG Voyager stuck on headset mode

Turn your phone off and remove the battery. Also tap the headset port (where a headset would normally plug into).

When you reboot it back up it should fix itself. If it doesn't you have a hardware problem (its physically broken) you can see if its under its 1 yr warranty to get your free replacement, or if its older - there's always cell phone insurance.

I have a blue tooth by plantronics. Dont know how to hook up with my samsung myshot. I dont have book on bluetooth.

try this, turn on the blue tooth of your headset and then go to the Bluetooth settings of your phone, search for the headset, once paired for sure that it will ask for a code just enter 0000, that is the default pass code for that.

My Samsung Instinct is stuck in headset mode

DONT DO THE RESTART/ERASE CODE!!!!!!!!!!! its a hardware problem, not software or virus. your phone is probabluy stuck in headset mode, where you can hear the ringtone for incoming calls and alarms but not calls (without headphones). you three real options are to (1) stick a boby pin or stylus into the jack until it leaves headset mode (2) more invasively, find a really small screw driver and open the phone(screws are under the battery cover, in the corners) and poke in the earphone jack or (3) get a new phone. thats all i can tell you.
