Hi,
when you connect the cable to the phone, you should get a new device in "My Computer" should be called phone or k800i...
double click on it, and a file manager will open, which will give you access to the files you want.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Give this a try. Plug in your mobile phone to the pc. Once ask on how do you want to use it either sync, mass storage or com port just select mass storage. Once selected go to photos folder where the picture that you want to delete is located. Just drag the pic to a different location like c: drive or documents and try deleting the picture from there. Once the picture is removed it would not appear anymore on your contacts.

Water damaged k800i i've put a new battery in and tried to charge the phone has some life but the screen stays dormant

those screens do NOT like water, and it's likely that the water infiltrated the membrane, and shorted out the drive to it. happens to those sort of devices..you know..time for a new one, misfortunately

Mobile phone

Remove the battery and put back in place.
Try connecting to the charger ansd see if it does switch on.
Go to a phone shop and ask to test a different battery, if the battery is faulty it may be shorting and the phone does not start.
If you dare to take your phone apart you could check and test with a multimeter the on off switch at the top of the phone, but I suggest taking it to a phone repair.
