Depending on the age of the unit some remotes dont work with other openers because of the frequency that the remotes work on.

Anytime you cannot program more than one remote it is the receiver that has quit working. The receiver is part of the logic board.

Sounds like your receiver has quit working. To program the remotes do this: Press and hold the button on the remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Do this for each remote. If this doesn't work your logic board is bad.

If the wall button will operate the door up but none of the devices do then look at the wall button. Find the lock button and push it for 2 seconds and then try the remotes again. This is your vacation lock. You can get a manual at chamberlain.com. Now if the door does not open or close with the remotes you can reprogram them. Press the colored learn button on the motor head and then press the button on the remote. Repeat for each remote. If they fail to program you will need a new logic board. Thanks BB

Remote capability out on garage opener

If you are having a problem with all your units that transmit a radio signal it is your receiver that is going bad. It is part of the logic board.

Chamberlain remote has stopped working, new

WHEN YOU CHANGE THE BATTERY NO NEED TO REPROGRAM THE REMOTE.
THE FLASHING LIGHT TELLS YOU IT IS SENDING A SIGNAL THAT IS BEING RECIEVED IT IS JUST NOT THE CORRECT CODE TO OPEN THE DOOR.
REPROGRAMING THE REMOTE SHOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM

typically the remote codes are stored on the controller board (called logic board). if the wall switch for your opener still works, but you are unable to reprogram the existing remotes that came with the unit (assuming of course you checked batteries in the remotes) then it is likely that the logic board has died. Given that the opener is 13 years old, this is not unexpected. New openers have a host of new features including advanced security, so it might be a good time to invest in a new one.

Garage door opener will not respond to security plus remotes

Reset the Liftmaster unit. There should be a red reset button on the unit in the garage. If this does not work, reset the breaker. Good Luck!

Chamberlain Whisper drive remote control unit not working

THE NEW REMOTE MAY NOT BE THE CORRECT SYSTEM FOR THE UNIT YOU HAVE.
THE ONE THAT DOESN'T WORK MOST LIKELY NEEDS A NEW BATTERY.
NOTE IT MUST BE REPROGRAMED AFTER CHANGING THE BATTERY

Remote does not open garage door

It sounds like the wall button has the lock feature engauged.

Is there a small green LED flashing inside the wall button?
Push and hold the lock button for about two seconds and the LED should stop flashing. This will unlock the garage door opener and your remotes should start working. You may have to reprogram your remotes and homelink again since you triedprograming in the lock mode.

Good luck.
