How do i remove windows vista and install windows xp with out losing all my other stuff

If your Vista still work, go to the control panel> administrative tools> computer management > disk management > create an additional partition (larger then my documents folde size)
Move your files to this partition then install xp.

A few tips
  • Make sure there xp drivers for each componenet
  • Use driver magician and find xp drivers (check the pc mfg site and download all xp drivers and put them on this partiton too.
  • Use a partition program (dos) and format the vista partition and the hidden partition that vista creates or xp won't go in properly

Toshiaba Sattelite laptop model L45-S7409 dont let installed Xp

well, this should be fun! your toshiba (i have an older one-m35x- came with xp home). i'm sure yours came with a restore disk with vista on it, so that's no use to you, considering the circumstances. i have several friends that gave up on vista, and changed back to xp!
sort of the windows me2000 for the later part of the first decade of the 21st century!
1st you need to back up any important files to an external hdd, large capacity thumb-drive, optical drive (cd or dvd). then find my computer- should be on desk-top, right click on your hdd and click on 'format hard-drive'. choose 'fast format' and ntfs. if you want partitions- choose # and size. i assume your hdd has a large capacity, but unless you want to install another OS (Linux), or use another partition to back-up your main partition, then don't bother.
format your hdd, and then install xp.this is gonna' take some time! i assume you have a legal version of xp. if not, turn off auto windows updates, or they'll give you some grief! the firewall should be alright.
once you get everything working- as far as xp is concerned (reinstall wireless connectivity, etc.), put in your device with backups from vista, and hope xp will accept them! make sure you saved your contacts list, and favorites from whatever browser you were using on vista- i prefer mozilla firefox, myself! hell with ie!
good luck!

Can I foramt Vista Partitions using xp cd?

Yes, Insert the Dell XP disc, and when your computer first stars, in the right hand corner there should be setup and boot devices. Choose boot devices and run off the disc. After that, there will be an option to Format All your drives, (even some you might not know about :P). From there you can install XP onto your laptop.

Help me..whats going on with windows xp home edition

When installing a new operating system, all file saved will be deleted. Since you've lost all data, you might as well format the entire drive, and then reinstall the vista inspirat thing. Then, download an Avast! anti virus form avast.com. Download the home version, which is free and scan the computer for any viruses. Delete every last one of the suckers.

Try to setup home wireless network to share two home computer

Connect the home wireless network router box to the main PC through an ethernet cable with the PC powered off and the home wireless router powered off, then power on the PC & the router. Vista should locate the new wireless network and follow the windows vista network setup procedures. After the wireless network has been detected you then while the second PC's power is shut off you connect dongle adapter to the PC power on and XP will locate the new adapter. You will probably have to enter your networks pin for the connection.
Get back to me when you complete these steps.
Try next time contacting me through an online chat session. We can resolve the issue quicker while chatting together.
