Question about Wacom Graphire3 White 6X8 USB (cte630pe) Graphic Tablet

It just stopped working for no reason

My tablet, for no reason, just stopped working. I have a Wacom Graphire 3 6x8 usb tablet, the one where you can put the photo in the plastic sleeve and all. Anyway, the light comes on so it does power on and the computer reads it but the tablet screen won't do anything, I run my graphire mouse and pen over it and my arrow won't move and I click and nothing will happen, is this a computer problem or machine problem? If so, what can I do? I kind of can't afford another one right now and I have a big show coming up and desperatly need it to start working again.

Thank you,
Tabitha "Tabikat" Vocque

Same here. I tried it on 2 different machines with the same result, both with and without the driver. Any light that can be shed on this would be appreciated.

I just got the same problem with my Wacom Graphire 3 - CTE630 model. Up until yesterday my wacom started giving me erratic behavior resulting in an "unrecognized usb device" everytime i plug the darn thing in. I already downloaded new drivers for the wacom series but with no avail.

I too think this is a problem with the wiring, in that my friend noted that once straightening it out, it began to work again. One other thing that occured was a flashing LED on the tablet once it was not recognized by the computer. I shall try the tedious task of straightening the wire, and repluggin, but i feel that it goes beyond this measure now...

Wacom tablet pen right click always active.

I'm having this same problem with my original Graphire (ET), with a replacement pen that's less than two years old.
I don't think it's a driver issue, based on the indicator light on the tablet itself. It turns green like it's detecting a click when either end of the pen is brought near the tablet. To me, that suggests an issue with the pen hardware. The mouse has no such problem.
I'd be very interested if anyone has a solution to this.

Have the graphire 3 tablet, Not working well.

Wacom tablet not plugged into your computer with the USB cable.

Go to Add/Remove Programs, (Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs), and -> Remove
the Wacom software.

Restart your computer.
After Windows XP has fully loaded again, install the Wacom Graphire 3 CD, in your CD/DVD drive. Reinstall the software.

If you had to reinstall your Windows XP operating system, you may have corrupted some of the Wacom tablet's drivers. (Hence the shaky stylus cursor) Removing the Wacom software, and reinstalling it will repair.

Now plug the Wacom tablet into your computer.
You should see the, "Found New Hardware", pop-up out of your taskbar tray.

Wacom Graphire Bluetooth stopped working

I didn't see anything specific for a Graphire A5 or a Graphire Bluetooth.

I did find this for a Graphire wireless:

http://www.wacom.com/productsupport/drivers.cfm?os=XP&product=CTEBT&CFID=5186275&CFTOKEN=15531183

There were some drivers on this page that were dated April of 2008. They could have been updated since your purchase
