Adjust not working

I have a spf-40 and all of the functions work except the adjust button when I push it in nothing happens. I have removed the back and can see that the connection is being made by the metal prong that is being pushed by the button but still no adjust. Please help.

I had this problem with mine after a battery replacement. If you open your watch, and look behind the offending button, you'll notice there is a small arm that should fit behind the button. the jeweler that destroyed my O-ring during a battery replacement also failed to line these arms up on one side of the unit. i had to find a REALLY small screw driver and finagle the arm back under the button... Now it's working perfectly... except the whole not waterproof any more part....

Hope this helps.

Hi,
I had this problem as well and the whole internal module required replacing.

I have replace the batteries and after assembled the mode and adjust buttons are not functional.

I've had the same problem with another Casio watch and in my case I didn't place the inner parts of the watch exactly right. This must be done very precisely, otherwise one or more button functions don't work. Maybe it is worth a try to check the alignment of the inner parts of the watch.

My wife has a Nike Alpha Project watch with new battery. We cannot set the time. I press "Mode" and nothing happens. I hold it down and nothing happens. Perhaps the buttons do not work? Shawn

Maybe the button is not pushing the internal button properly. Undo the back and remove the watch unit from it's case and then see if it works when you press the internal button.

CAN'T SET TIME

I have an AW 150 watch. I looked everywhere for a solution to setting it. I found nothing. It appears that all types of this watch are hard to set. I happened upon the correct procedure for at least setting the watch.

My watch has 4 set buttons that you can push. 2 on each side. Hold the upper right hand button until something starts flashing on the watch. On mine it was the seconds. Then release the button. Now each time you push that button for a very short moment, the flashing part of the watch will progress through each area (minutes, hours, date, etc). When you get to the area you want to set/adjust, use the bottom right hand button to move up/forwards and the bottom left hand button to move down/backwards. When you have fixed one function push the upper right hand button to move to the next function you want to change and repeat the procedure. When you are done, hold the upper right hand button in until the watch quits flashing anywhere and then release the button. Your watch is no longer in the adjust mode. Hope this works for you. It drove me nuts until I figured it out.

Problem with casio sea-pathfinder watch

For all Casio watches go to www.casio.com select "Support" then "Manuals" then "Watches".
You will then be able to enter the 4 digit number in the square box to get the manual for your watch or module inside is actually what the instructions refer to.

The problem of changing functions automatically is called "Auto Display" and can be stopped and started in Sea-Pathfinder SPF-40 (modue 2273) by pressing the bottom left button for 3 seconds.

Hold down the "Adjust" button (top left) for three seconds. It won't adjust unless you hold the button down.

Press "Mode" (bottom left) to change what you're adjusting, seconds, hour, minute.

Press the top right and bottom right buttons to adjust the number up and down.

Press "Adjust" again when you're done setting the watch.

To change date, alarm, alternate time, etc, press "Mode" to get to those functions before hitting "Adjust."

I hope that helps.

Your Watch is in Auto or demo mode. Hold down the "Mode" button for 3 - 5 seconds and it will return to time keeping mode.

Not again . . .

Pushing all the buttons at the same time you resets the digital functions. You'll have to reset the time and date, but it will all work again. I don't know why the watch freezes up, but pushing all the buttons at least resets it. I like my watch and this quirk is an annoyance, but it's livable after finding this solution.
