Reset your Internet connection.
To do this, unplug both your Internet modem and any wired or wireless router you have connected to it.
Leave the devices disconnected for around 30 seconds before plugging them back in.
This will reset your Internet connection and correct any video hiccups that were a result of a problem with either device.
Allow a streaming video to load completely before watching it.
If you're watching a video over the Internet on a site such as YouTube or Break.com, hit "Pause" once the video begins to load.
Wait until the "Status" indicator bar fills up completely before attempting to play the video. This will delay the video from playing until all of it is available on your computer, which will fix any intermittent stops and starts you may be experiencing.
Close any programs that are consuming your computer's system resources.
Right-click on your computer's task bar and select "Start Task Manager."
Click on "Processes" and close any program that is taking up a large amount of your computer's memory.
