Help with Sansa 2gb MP3 Player

I just bought my MP3 player and downloaded my music, charged the battery fully and it played for about 1hour. Now the display screen won't work, and I can't view anything? I think I can still turn it off and on because the blue light comes on when I hold the power button up, then wait a min then hold it up again the blue light goes off. But I don't understand why the display isn't working anymore? Then I thought maybe the battery wasn't fully charged so I hook it back up to the computer. Now the computer tells me no divice attached? Whats up with this, any advise??? Please Help

Get firmware update and then restart your computer:

Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

You can keep the Sansa plugged in without fear of overcharging. The Sansa will play while it is connected to a USB port that is supplying only power, such as a USB charger operating off a car cigarette lighter. It will not play while connected to a computer.

Plug the USB cable they provided to a PC and hook the other end to the mp3 player. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge.

Sansa clip won't charge fully

If you have a phone charger with the same connector, plug in you Clip and leave it overnight. This will fully charge the battery. There is not enough power from the USB port.

My pc wont let me install new sandisk 2gb mp3 player

On your sansa, go to "Settings" then System Settings" then "USB Mode," then change it to MSC, if that does not work, try the other modes, just in case.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Check for the following:

USB Cable
Make sure that the USB cable is properly plugged in and use the original cable.

Computer in Hibernation mode
Make sure the computer isn’t entering hibernate or sleep mode while the device is connected.  The computer must be on in order to charge your player.

USB Port 2.0
Make sure the player is connected USB 2.0 port (1.1 occasionally causes charging problems).

USB Port location
Try plugging in different USB port (i.e. USB port in the back of the computer); sometimes the front USB ports have problem charging up the device.

Battery
Make sure the battery is fully charged.  It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery.

Latest firmware
Make sure to update firmware by downloading and installing the Sansa Firmware Updater

Sansa MP3 player charges, plays while plugged into wall, but not unplugged.

When you plug it into the wall make sure you turn it off and let it charge all the way before you start using it again. see if that helps
