You might ry removeing hte rear panel of freezer. gain access to the evapotator area, thats where the fan thatcirculates air is as well, if the smells stillback there washing the inside wont do anything. once fully exposed i would saturate area with an odor nuetralizer . I use odo-ban. and be sure to pour asolution of baking soda and water downt the drain assy (under the evaperator) that will allow the baking soda to reamin in the lower drip tray long after teh eater evaporates. once refrig gets vcold again the smells generrally disapate anyway
