According to the directions: Press B - bottom left button,to go into Alarm Mode. Press D - upper right button - to activate the alarm and press again to activate the Chime, which shows on bottom left as a bell. To activate these press D. To DEACTIVATE them press D again. Press B 3 times to return to Time Telling Mode. It took a few tries, but D and B are the keys to stopping that annoying chime!

Set the time on a 3-button Armitron All Sport 45/6963

I have the same watch. I've figured out how change in and out of 24 hour time.
1. press and hold "ST/STP" until the month/day screen is visible.
2. while holding "ST/STP", press "MODE". A 'p' visible below the month/day indicates 12 hour mode. The absence of a 'p' indicates 24 hour mode.
Manual for 4-button version is here, but all the directions are applicable. https://www.armitron.com/images/upload/XNAPE01.pdf

You should have a symbol of a bell, which indicates he alarm is "on" and the letters "CH" which means "hourly chime".
Press button at 2 O'clock position to enter the alarm mode. Press the button again and the "bell" should disappear; press the button again and the "CH" should disappear.
