You can formet that partition where the previous os installed then install fresh os if you have a bootable cd of that os .

No video after boot up

Ahem.

Driver: Small piece of software that allows the Operating System to communicate with a device.

The device in question is the graphics chipset.

The Operating System is now Windows 7 64-bit.

You were running Windows XP -> 32bit

(Have you got audio? Sound)

This is why I repeatedly try to tell people;

LOOK TO SEE IF DRIVERS ARE AVAILABLE,
before trying to upgrade to frickin Windows 7!

Yes sir; sure are.

+ VGA (3)
Suggest use the oldest version -
AMD VGA driver V8 631.0.0

The reason Windows XP blue screened is because the Integrated Graphics of the Asus M4A785TD-V motherboard couldn\'t handle the game.

You need a graphics card. A PCI Express graphics card inserted into the BLUE PCI Express x16 expansion slot, on the motherboard.

(Remember; Install the software F-I-R-S-T, then unplug from power, FOLLOW Anti-Static Precautions; and THEN physically install the graphics card.
Software; The Installation Disk for the graphics card.
Has the Drivers, and user interface.
User Interface: Catalyst Control Center for ATI graphics cards;
Nvidia Control Center for Nvidia graphics cards)

I have loaded USB 2.0 Driver but System could not detect that USB 2.0 Port when I connect USB 2.0 device to all six USB Port. I am having DG31PR Motherboard. I checked in BIOS setup. High speed port enable...

You have not mention what Operating system is on your PC.

For Windows OS XP, you just have to install at least XP Service Pack 2 or higher... and the USB 2.0 ports will function. For Vista & Win 7 OS, the USB 2.0 drivers is in the Operating System when you install Windows.

Hope it helps.

My wifes acer travelmate 4000 will not boot up, it will start up in safe mode but not in normal mode, we do not have the recovery disc, what should we do

Without the recovery disk you have limited options.

1) Contact Acer to see if they can replace the recovery disk.

2) Look in Acer support pages online to see if they might have included a version you can download to make a recovery disk.

3) Buy a copy of the operating system that is on the computer. (With Windows XP and above if you reinstall the OS without erasing or reformating the drive you can keep all your files. I have done this many times.)

4) Upgrade to a newer version of Windows.

5) Lastly, you could switch to a different OS (such as Linux)

Up grade the computer

> upgrade the computer

What manufacturer?

What model-number?

What speed of CPU?
Check the manufacturer's web-site for the list of "supported" CPUs -- maybe, you can install a faster one.

How much RAM?
Check the manufacturer's web-site for the list of "supported" memory-sticks -- maybe, you can install more RAM?

What Operating System?
Maybe, you can upgrade to Microsoft Windows 7.

How much money do you want to spend in "upgrading".
Compare to the cost of a brand-new computer.

There is only one OS, but during booting it shows three

Delete the OS Command line inside the MSConfig indow by clicking start - run -type msconfig then press enter. On the MS config window click on the boot.ini tab then you will see the command line inside the text box. Leave the first command line from [Boot Loader] till the end of the command line of your Default Operating system.

Example:
(Leave this lines)
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
(Till here!)
(Delete this line)
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Viz XP Example line Professional" /fastdetect (up to here)

any other command line that says Viz XP -- you may delete it. Click apply button then Restart the computer afterwards and this should fix the issue.

Should you have any other questions just please leave a comment.

Cheers~

I have no video output after reformating my hard drive. but the computer goes through its boot sequence.

Reformatting your hard drive means erasing your operating system.(OS). Therefore, you have to reinstall
your operating system (Windows XP, Windows 7)
After you reinstall your OS, you must also reinstall the
software driver for sounds, and video. All software drivers
must be compatible with your OS.

About Linux fedora and XP

Without knowing more about your system, the key rule is to install XP first, then Fedora.
If that doesn't work then it's time to put more partitions on your hard drive, and install the 2 operating systems on different partitions, again, remembering that Windows XP has to be the first installed.
