We have a five year old 40 inch samsung dlp tv and the only problem we have is that it has a really annoying squeal when you turn it on. It must be something to do with the fan but we have tried to use a compressor to clean it out and it has made no difference. When you turn on the TV it starts to have a high pitched squeal and it stops when you turn it off. Otherwise it works great.

That is your Color Wheel that is bad. I wish you would have posted the problem before buying a lamp. I would have told you to treat yourself to a new set instead of putting good money into a DLP set that is 5 years old.

If you have have 40 vertical lines 16 pixels wide: DDP1011 or BCA, DMD panel interference: Replace the DMD board.

Turn tv on and then it will turn itself of can immedately turn back on it is a 50 inch SamSung one year old can any one help with this problem

do a voltage check the transformer & the bridge rectifier and the whole off the power supply use a meter ther may be power starvation

Did the technician replace the thermal sensors too? I think there are a few, one is in the color wheel cover. I'd suspect that it could take 40 min. to heat a faulty sensor to the trip point, and that this could make the TV turn the lamp off.

most likely the color wheel is faulty and will need to be changed. Does it make a squealing noise?

Ur colors wheel is warn out,just not broken yet, it spinning off it axis.That where the noise is comming from.Replaced the colors will solved this problems.Spend some money hire a tv repair man to replaced this,because this reqiure take out alot machanical parts and boards to get to the colors wheel.
