My TV remote has a 'TV/Video' button that when pressed, toggles the TV's screen back n' forth between watching TV or viewing your DVD/VHS. Pressing the button once displays a video-1 screen, twice, a video-2 screen, and third, back to watching TV programs (having two video option screens allows for another DVD or VHS player to be assessed, as long as the TV has another rear connection for a second unit). As long as the DVD player is plugged into the back of the TV, the TV's remote (not the DVD's remote) should accomplish the function.
Hi, You are trying to work out how to watch a DVD movie on your TV The DVD should be connected to your TV with Audio Video cables. And it will most likely be connected to AV1 on your TV The easiest way to find out would be to
Put a DVD in the Player and press play
Now the TV is probably in channel mode, so find the button on the TV remote that says TV/AV
now press this button TV/AV and it will scroll from TV channel to AV1, AV2 etc until you see the DVD picture.
I hope this helps you. If so please leave a vote or comment.
The TV is in Calibration mode. Take the original remote and press (Arrow up) (Arrow down) then (The power button on the TV) ((NOT ALL AT ONCE BUT IN ORDER)). Do it over and over if you need to.
All you should have to do is press the dvd button on your remote to go to the dvd player. Then press the vcr button to go back to the cable tv, if it is hooked up the same way as mine. And you can tell if it is by putting in a vhf tape and you can start watching it play. Otherwise you will need to press the input button on your tv remote until you see the vcr or dvd main screen. from there press the dvd button on your remote for the dvd player or the vcr button for your vhf. After you are done with watching your movies and wish to go back to the cable or tv programs use the tv remote and press input until the shows come back on
You do not put your TV on any channel. DVD players need to connect to a TV with video cables and not a RF cable. This means 3 connection options on how your DVD player should connect to your TV. First, since your DVD player is NOT a bluray player, then HDMI connection is not needed. 2nd, the best choice would be component cables. These are the RED/GREEN/BLUE RCA connector that are on the back of your DVD player. They got into the input of your TV that has the RED/GREEN/BLUE RCA connectors. These are your video connector. Now, you need to connect the audio. Look for the RED/WHITE analog audio connectors out of your DVD player. Connector those to your AUDIO RED/WHITE input of the TV. Power on the DVD player and then power on your TV. Press the SOURCE or INPUT button on the remote for the TV until you see the DVD on the TV....The second option is the connect your DVD player up to your TV with composite video, YELLOW/RED/WHITE cable...
before you can watch a recorded DVD on another DVD player you must finalize the disc. to finalize the disc put the recorded disc into the DVD recorder, when the DVD loads it will show the titles that are recorded on the DVD on the screen push the stop button it is the button with the square on it. the screen will go blank or it may let you watch whatever tv channel you are on if you have your tv ran through the recorder, push the setup buton a new screen will come up, with the arrow down button scroll down and highlight disc edit, press ok another screen will come up, with the arrow down button scroll down and highlight "finalize", press "ok" it is the button in the middle of the arrow keys scroll up and highlight "yes" press "ok" the recorder will finalize the disc and it can be watched on any DVD player, just remember when you finalize a disc you cannot add anything else to the disc.
yes
make sure the cables are connected correctly, the manual will show that.
If the mwr20v6 has a tuner you must have the channel on the dvd set to the program, if it has no tuner, you must have your tv set to the correct channel.
Can you try just running a/v cable from your tv output to the inputs on the ilo, then whatever you watch on your tv you can record on your dvd burner. My new SDTV doesnt have audio out except Coax so this won't work for me on that tv. Why doesnt the newer tv's have audio AND video outputs???
