    Hi,

The issue that you are experiencing might be due to dirty paper feed rollers or might be with the scanner mechanish.

Please follow the instructions from the below article to get the issue resolved.

    Here is the web document:

Just copy and paste the entire link into the Internet browser's address bar and press enter.

Here are the steps to clean the rollers :

    1)Turn off the all-in-one.

2)Unplug the power cord from the back.

3)Remove the rear access door .

4)Clean the rollers one at a time using a clean cloth that is slightly dampened with clean water (preferably distilled water). Rotate the roller to clean the entire surface.

5)Verify that the three paper feed rollers on the rear access door are clean and rotate freely.

6)Reinstall the rear access door and then plug the power cord back in.

    7)Turn the all-in-one back on

Also clean the carriage rod on which the cartridge carriage moves with a soft lint free cloth.

This should resolve the issue that you are experiencing with.

    Wish you good luck!!.

Call the printer bomb squad?

sounds like it's clicking when the carriage return is hitting something inside.

Have you tried to use the machine on a normal phone line? A dsl line shouldn't be any different as far as fax machines are concerned.

Hp officejet 6110 all-in-one won't print despite new cartridges

make sure that the housing that holds the cartridges are clean at the contacts, this can be done with the machine turned off and unplugged, clean the contacts with warm water and a damp cotton bud not wet and then dry it with a paper towel.

make sure everything is dry before turning the printer back on, if this doesnt work then it needs a service.

Every power up requires set up

theres usually a small battery on these mfp machines which is soldered onto the formatter board, this would need replacing. Bes is don't turn the machine off.

6110 Print Cartridge

There is a handle right below the number keys. Once you lift the top part of the machine the ink cartridges scrolls to the middle of the opening. replace accordingly. The ink cartridge numbers are on the lids so you will know which one goes where.

HP 6110

Is the ticking sound coming from the right side near the bottom? Or the left side near the top. If it is the right bottom then you're looking at a service station. If it is the left top then a scanner unit. Scanner unit is not available from Hp. You can try dismantling and cleaning all mirrors and lenses (usually doesn't work). If it is the service station, you are probably going need parts that are not availble.
