My Sebo x 4 Extra is showing all the four lights at once. It also is rising and falling all the time on the same surface. Carpet or hard floor. It went through a spell of cutting out after several sec

If all 4 lights on the indicator panel are on at once that would usually be caused by a bad PC controller board. If your vacuum is under warranty, this should be covered. If not, I have included a link to this part as well as a parts list for your reference. This is an easy part to replace and requires only a Phillips head screw driver. http://sebo.us/pdfs/website_schematicsPDFs/AUTOMATIC%20X%20Schematics.pdf 5740 ER Computer Controller Windsor Sensor SR XP 86140160

How do I put on the belt

Normally fairly simple.............1)Remove the bottom plastic cover. Should be 2 or 3 screws. 2) Pull the bar out (along with the belt) 3) Put new belt around the bar on the smooth surface. 3) Put bar back in (It goes a certain way, but easy to tell by the ends of the bar 4) Stretch the belt back to the small round metal pole. It should be tight, so sometimes takes a litlle muscle.

Eureka 439az has no suction. Beater bar spins ok.

First thing I would check is it has a attachment hose, take off the bottom of the vacuum. Where the beater bar is and look for where the hose goes through the bottom of the vacuum, it should look like a piece of plastic pipe. Make sure that pipe is clear if it isn't the vacuum won't work. I had that problem before with a different vacuum, clear the clog and should take care of the issue. Also if you take the hose off and put your hand over the hose attachment piece you should feel suction, if you don't good indicator that line plugged up.

You can use your fingers to clear it out, if the hole hose is plugged, if you have a snake a or a cable tie, or some flexible use that to snake out the bottom part of the tube. It might make a mess so I'd do it outside or in the garage.

See if that is part of your problem, otherwise it has a canister to catch the dirt, make sure all the vents and ports are clear going into the canister .

No steam coming out. pump seems to start o.k, then goes quiet

ok, 1st thing 1st u have 2 check ur lines. the easiest way is to get a metal clothes hanger untwine it (make it as straight as u can except on the end twist it, bend it, what ever u like.) run it threw the line/hose. make sure no blockage if hose is big u can use a broom stick. both ways line in and out. there is usually a part that has a curve u can make it it straight sometimes by dropping the handle make sure ur line is clean all the way. u can use sometimes an air compressor or water.also if it has brushes get a pair of scissors open them run them alongto cut hair, string, ect. pull off so its clean. if it stll doesn't work, then u have to take it apart make sure ur steam gap is large enough & or ur trigger is operating pay attention to where everything comes from so u can put it back right. take pictures or whatever works 4 u. hope this helps u.

How do i replace the hepa filter on a dyson dc18? I removed it and now I cannot put it back on.

It is very simple to change the filter and re-attach the canister. Once you have removed the main canister (the one that has the washable filter) you should see the plastic canister, which houses the Hepa Filter. 1) To make life easy, turn your vacuum around, so you are now looking at the back (where the hose and wand are). 2) Remove the hose and wand as you normally would, if you were going to use them. Just lay it on the floor. 3) Now that they are out of the way, you should see the grey plastic holder, towards the bottom (approx 6 inches above the red release peddle for the vacuum. It is attached to the vacuum with only 2 Phillips-Head screws, and was used to keep the hose in place. 4) Use a screwdriver to remove the screws (one one each side). Once it's removed you should easily beagle to change the Hepa Filter. NOTE: Pay attention to where the 4 inverted latches on the canister are, and pay special attention to the fact that there is an extra latch on the canister, which faces the opposite direction of the others. It is this latch on the canister, which must be located through the back handle of the vacuum, since this was the main latch that was secured by the grey hose piece, which you first removed. 5) To reassemble the canister, line up the clips, especially the one that I just mentioned, and make sure the canister is flush against the base. 6) Now, reattach the hose securing piece that you originally removed, and the Hepa Filter and plastic canister should now be fully secured. 7) Place the hose and wand back into their original position and you should now be ready to vacuum. I hope this was helpful. S.I. Educator

The motor running the beater bar on ny Electrolux canister vacuum cleaner runs intermittently. It runs about 2 minutes and then cuts off and automatically starts again after a 1 to 2 minute interval. I...

Check all the wiring connections to make sure they're tight.
1/2. Wiring to power nozzle motor or reset switch is loose.
1. Cord from power nozzle to upper wand. If the plastic portion of the wand is cracked near the cord connection, or the connections are blackened, they need replaced.
2. Wiring connection from hose handle to upper wand. Check for cracks and discoloration as in 1 above. Replace if necessary.
3. Hose connection to vacuum. Not likely, but possible.
4. There could very well be a break in the hose wiring.
You may need to take your vacuum, with hose and power nozzle, to an authorized Aerus Electrux service shop. They can try a new hoze to see if that's the problem. If there is a break in the wiring, the hose is probably worn in other areas as well, and should be replaced.

No suction when carpet cleaning. Also won't stand upright

Its possible that it may be blocked in the foot of the vaccum. try going through your instruction manual to locate details on how to disassemble the suction brush and connecting ducts. If you dont have one then use this link to download it. http://ubermanuals.com/node/1870

Let me know how you got on

Cheers
