Question about Samsung SP-S4243 Television

Samsung TV flickering image

I have a Samsung Plasma SP-S4223 tv that is about 15 mos old. It has started to show some blue pixels on the left side that flicker while watching either HD or regular channels. It seems to be getting worse over the past month.

Seems to be linked to interference between the cable and the speakers. Only occurs with cable television, not with DVDs. It is worse with HD stations than others. Moving the speakers away from the television have helped somewhat, but not completely solved the problem.

You seem to have what is called error diffusion. Either call samsung about it and arange service or do it on samsung.com. What kind of warranty do you have? Depending on your date of purchase you might be able to get samsung to help cover it or pay for it all.

Advise to change the connections your using with the cable box, try the one with the dvd player. If that doesn't help than the problem is with the cable box.

I have a Samsung SP-S4223 42in. EDTV.

This is called tiling and this happends because of a weak signal from whatever device you have hooked to it weather it be cable or a sat dish. Try checking and makie sure you have good signal to this. If this matter gets wrose then you would need a repairman. Thanks

No picture or sound

This type of repair might not be a DIY since requires the use of a multimeter to check all the voltages from the power supply to all the circuitry in your plasma.
First step should be to measure all the voltages to the Y and X sustainer boards and since you do not have audio as well to check the 12 volts source as well.
If your plasma is less then a year old, still cover under manufacturers warranty.

Plasma tv

this happens because of panel conditioning. as the panel ages it requires different voltages to produce the picture.it takes about 1000 hrs before it has conditioned. it is a simple adjustment a tech can do for you. when this adjustment is made no other adjustment will be needed for this problem.

Blue snowy pixel areas on my plasma

some of these panels were mis-calibrated from the factory after not aging long enough. Let the TV run for atleast 2 hours and adjust the Vs and Vscan voltages. When it is blue in the left I have found generally the Vs is about 10 volts too high.
