I've charged my blackberry pearl 8100 all day and it will not turn on. I'm thinking that it is the most obvious thing, it will not turn on because it needs a SIM card to do so, duh! The red LED light flashes 3 times pauses for a second then flashes two more times. Am I correct, do I need a SIM card?

The red light is flashing, screen turns on and off. Don't know what to do!!!
I already took out the battery for hours! Removed the sim card and even recharged all night. Phone wont even turn on or off.

It works now!!! not really sure what was wrong, but i had taken the battery out of my black b to put my sim in another phone ( dont ask) and when i was done i put my sim and battery back in my blackberry and it wouldnt turn on at all, not even when plugged into the charger. SO then i finally got frustrated with the black b ...and removed the battery to take out the sim to put it in another phone and put the black berry battery back in it for safekeeping and magically it came on! So once again, i bravely replaced my sim back in my black b and it worked fine....... wierd huh...just my kind of luck
