Question about RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone
I have had this problem before and a rep at the store helped me with a setting that, I think, has to do with the phone call log and text log being saved to my media card vs. the SIM card. The problem I am having is that the call log and text log have disappeared. My phone no longer receives text messages and my call log will not show anything. I know this because many friends have told me they have tried texting me today and I have no texts on my phone. If I send a text, they receive them but it automatically disappears from the text log. The only way I know if someone has called me is if they leave a message. It will tell me that I missed a call but when I go into the call log there is nothing there. Do you know what the problem is and what setting I need to change?
View free space by choosing OPTIONS - STATUS, & look at FILE FREE. On desktop, hold down ALT & press BACK/RETURN. A box shows all apps "running". (Red END button doesn't close the app -- sends to bkgnd.) Select one, and it opens... press MENU, scroll to CLOSE. This ends app/frees mem.

I work for AT&T and what i did was hold down alt. and type LGLG a event log will pop up which keeps a log of EVERYTHING you do. Clear it once in a while and it should help. since i started doing this on my BBcurve i havent had a problem with my call log. if I can help any other way feel free to email me @ firstname.lastname@example.org no spam please

I spemt an hour on the phone with a Blackberry rep and the sloution was to remove the battery. I had 0 bytes of memory free and after replacing the battery, I had over 19 million. Just use your BB desktop backup frequently so you won"t lose too much data. Taught me a lesson.

People. Blackberry has a memory limit. Once u come close to that, it automatically erases bbm's and text messages and phone logs etc. You need to erase some stuff. Delete those programs u dont need and delete old ****!

I have had this issue recently as well. I first checked my memory and found there was sufficient memory left. I then removed my battery when the phone was turned on and replaced it. That has solved the problem and I wanted to thank the others on this post for the suggestion. You saved me an annoying call to the Telephone company!

This has happened to me periodically and removing the battery and ensuring sim card is securely in there has always worked, until this time. Then I discovered the massive number of pictures I apparently took the other evening (eek) and after deleting some we're back in business so definately a memory issue

I HATE This problem. I got this thing specifically because i wanted to save all of my text messages. I have over 54 million bytes free and it still happens. I get in so much trouble from friends because they think they're being ignored. I hope the blackberry 9000 fixes this or else I'm gonna have to get an iPhone.

I tried every single setting on the phone. It happened to me quite a few times for a few days each time. Kept crashing my phone too. I then took some advice I saw on another forum, and realised that what sorted out the problem was taking out and then replacing the battery! That's all you need to do. Take the battery out when the phone's on, then replace it. It boots up for about 3 minutes, and then calls & texts are logged from then on.
Hope this helped, it honestly worked for me.
