Unplugged all the external device. Like external harddrive,Pendrive,Camera anything. And restart the computer in safe mode with networking. If it is working on safe mode you need to uninstall and reinstall the display drivers in order to fix the issue.
You should be able to see it and troubleshoot any problems. As long as you just got the Eee, it should have the camera driver preinstalled. Just go to start>control panel>hardware and sounds>scanners and camera, and you should be able to see and troubleshoot your camera there. If you still have any problems after that let me know..
uninstall the all scanner driver have you installed then connect the scanner to your pc and switch on the scanner and check it detecting the scanner or what ..... if its detecting install the scanner driver ( or go to control panel ..>scanner and cameras open it then click i add device and fallow the steps ) ..... if its not detecting the scanner its may have the problem with the scanner connector or may with your pc usb port ...............
To turn the camera on IS in the BIOS. It's not in a logical "camera" spot but it's in there. My camera on my Eee PC 1000H got turned off somehow (not by me or by a BIO upgrade) so I found it and fixed it. Look for it in the BIOS menu's. It's there.
