Hi Richard,
As you might all ready know, this printer is not supported by Vista,
pasible solution: - if you have another "old" computer, you could install your printer on that, and share it, that way you can printe via the other computer.
in case you want drivers for all other software, here is the link.

remove cartridge and leave top door open, then remove two screws in back ; open front sheet panel to find two screws to remove then remove outer case carefully AND PLACE ON LEFT SIDE BECAUSE THERE'S A RIBBON WIRE ATTACHED. there are 4 screws holding the fuser unit in place, remove AND LIFT OUT BY ROLLING TOWARD YOU to reveal 2 screws to access the red roller assembly! In my case there was a very tightly wound piece of paper stuck in there not visable without removing the screws on the fuser unit!
Sounds like the pick up rollers are either dirty or are worn out. You can try cleaning them with a soft lint free cloth. Just look for a roller or wheel looking item where the printer picks up the paper. If they feel very smooth then they maybe worn out and may be replaceable. Check the owner's manual or the manufacturer's website to find out.
