Question about Refrigerators

Freezer not working again!

I have the GE profile fridge with the freezer on the bottom. 6 weeks ago - the freezer and fridge crapped out and with your instructions we had someone here that cost us $276.00.
Well now it's not working again.
I need either:
1.) Someone to come out here and fix it right at no cost - because they didn't fix it right the first time.
2.) A new fridge.
Please assist us as consumers with the above request as we've played nice despite it not working the first time. The profile we have is only 2.5 years old and I've lost a lot of groceries and food spoilage due to this issue.
I need to see GE step up at this point and make things right.
It's Saturday, March 8th, at 3:38 p.m. - looking forward to some awesome service.
It's the GE Profile Stainless Steel - Model number PFS22SISBSS and Serial Number - RH057678

    its model #: PFS22SISBSS

    S/N: GL051770

My mother bd WKKT p/n: 0158-04-03

My mother bd GEA p/n: 200D4860G015

My Mother bd model # doesn't match the one they gave me so apparently I
have to call yet again to see what there willing to do about it.

Okay the latest in the saga... since my MB isn't a WR55X10552 it
automatically falls under the "FREE Board replacement program". We will
see how that story changes when I take next Monday off to wait for the
repair guy to come replace a board that a monkey could install; rather
than send it to me to install myself because as the lady on the phone
called me "a lay person" I couldn't possibly do it myself.

Bad news. GE is still using GEA part No: 200D4860G015 Mother board in their Refrigerators. Our Fridge is three years old and has now STBed. $391 later and it's a peice of junk. Good luck with your GE "We take good things from life..." I wouldn't buy a bulb from GE! Home Depot should stop selling ****.......The 800-386-1215 GE CS line was useless. My refrigerator SE# was not included in the recall program, but the board was? Good thing they don't build engines....Oh wait, they do. Jet engines and nuclear power engines.....We all could be in trouble if thay can't even get a refrigerator to work properly........

Try going further than defrost and draining the hose. There is gunk that builds up and you need to clean that out. Use a pipe cleaner(the fuzzy wires used mostly for art projects. They actually can clean pipes and water lines!!) Also, you can pick up a pack of pellets used for breaking down the "gunk" build up.

I have a ge profile fridge model # PDS22SHRBRSS needing help

Yes, you have to cut the wiring as the instructions stated. Not all the models have to have wiring cut, so read carefully to see if yours is one that needs to have the wiring cut. If it is not, then you have another problem, and you will have to let us know what the origional problem was before you replaced the board. If your model requires cutting, you may have damaged the main board by not doing this. Unplug the refer and follow the instructions carefully and test to see if it works. Good luck, Appliance Specialists.

My ge profile fridge won't stay cold. the fridge is at 45 deg.

First things first - pull the fridge/freezer out from the wall, and look at the bottom.  You should see a metal coil somewhere - it probably needs to be cleaned.  Next, somewhere around the compressor (the big bulky thing in the bottom of the freezer) should be a fan blowing on the coil - make sure it is running.  That MIGHT have been the buzzing noise you describe - dirt on the fan blades or the fan hitting something.  Additionally, you can check the fan on the inside of the freezer - if it is stuck and/or not working, the air won't circulate properly, and you'll get pockets of different temperatures in your freezer.
Best of luck!

GE Profile - Fridge Doesn't Cool But Freezer Works Fine

Had a similar problem with my Kenwood Fridge Freezer
If you're mechanically minded you could check if there's an opening and motorised flap (usually behind a cover) at the top of the fridge - Cold air from the freezer enters the fridge through this flap) The Sound you heard could have been the motor trying to open / close this flap. This flap can become frozen in the closed position - so cold air is unable to enter the fridge compartment) My fix was to thaw it with a hairdryer and reassemble. Another fix would be to empty the freezer and open the doors - it might take more than 24 hours but once completely defrosted if the flap is the issue it will have defrosted. Once plugged in again the door will open and cold air will start to flow into the fridge compartment. I had a quote for €195 for a call out / repair
I fixed it myself in an hour - Hope it works for you ...
