The most likely cause for your issue is excess debris in the pump strainer, or a bad impeller on the pump. If you have a front small trap door on the front left or right, follow the instructions in your manual for cleaning out the trap. If the trap is empty, or does not exist on the exterior, you may need an experienced repair man to open the machine up to get to the pump strainer and check the drain pump. Pleazer Appliance...
1) YOU MUST test the TIMER for defective, test the contacts dirty, or oxide.Loose wire, or open or break. see the diagram 2)see if the screen is clogged+ test the defective water inlet valve see how to test.
Hello first try unplugging the machine for 7 minutes if this doesn't then allow you to open the door then you can manually release the door lock by taking off the dispenser assebly holder (bezel) and pulling on the door lock release cord you will find inside. Also as far as the nP I think the erro your seeing is ND which is no drain in which you can click this link http://www.fixya.com/support/t340703-maytag_neptune_error_code_nd another tech has posted with pictures on this issue. IF you have any further questions message me back Thanks
The usually reason the door remains locked once the cycle is over is because the filter screen on the drain pump is blocked so not all the water could drain out...the door lock is tied into the pump and until the pump tells the control board that the wate r is out the door will not unlock. This tip i wrote will show ya how to take apart the washer to clean the filter on the pump. http://www1.fixya.com/support/r10121384-check_when_duet_washer_door_locked_after
Neptune washing machine displays error codes, also called "help codes,"
to identify specific problems with your washer. Once you close your
Maytag Neptune's door, the machine locks the door, goes through the
selected wash cycles and unlocks the door when the laundry is finished.
Error codes appear when there are problems with the door, the inflow and
drainage of water and the motor.
Your Maytag Neptune washer displays the "do" help code when the washing machine
is trying to start a cycle, but the door is open or not locked
properly. If this message is displayed, close the door securely and
restart the washing cycle.
The "FL" code indicates that the washing machine was unable to
lock the door after you closed it. Open and close the door tightly, then
restart the washing cycle.
The "Sd" code indicates that you have added too much detergent to
the washing machine and your laundry has too many suds. The machine
will stop displaying this code if it has successfully run the suds
recovery cycle, which removes the excess suds from the wash load. If the
code remains, reduce the amount of detergent in the load. Use less
detergent for similar loads of laundry in the future.
The "PF" code indicates that a power failure has occurred.
Restart the wash cycle. If the code still appears, check that the
washing machine is still plugged in to the electrical outlet.
The "nd" code indicates that your Maytag Neptune is not draining
as it should. Check that the drain hose isn't kinked and that the stand
pipe isn't clogged. If you find either of these problems, fix them
before restarting the washing cycle.
The "LO" code appears when the washing machine has finished the
selected wash cycle, but cannot unlock the door. Verify that the door is
closed properly, push the "Off" button, and wait two minutes. The door
should unlock and the error code will disappear. If the error code
remains, unplug the washing machine, wait two minutes and plug it back
into the electrical outlet.
The "Lr" code indicates that the washing machine's motor is not
running as it should. Have your Maytag Neptune washing machine serviced
by a certified Maytag repair professional.
Not draining, throw rugs tend to clog this unit as do bobby pins and under wires I'm giving you a link to the repair manual it covers the 3000 through 5500 it will help you get the door open and the clothes out so you can start bailing...
Hi ii_goldie,What about the RINSE cycle... maybe the washer knows the "full cycle" is NOT finished.
The washer will display DONE... and make the door available to you. If not the cycle may not be finished. OR, turn it off, however, DON'T open the door if your machine has not drained all the water out, allow the system to finish.
