Printer working fine but Scanner does not work on Dell 962 Photo All in One

I recently had my computer cleaned up. The person who cleaned it lost the printer information on the computer. I had one disk and re-installed it. I can not find the second disk. What can I do?

    I did just what you said. I did have an error message after loading it but I chatted online with Dell and they fixed it. Thanks for helping out. I wish I would have asked sooner.

You can go to the Web site that has the latest driver for your printer. You just go to goggle.com and type in the make and model of your printer and then a space, and then drivers.

Example: HP deskjet 5650 +drivers
You'll see some links, take the ones that go to HP. When you do, look for 'Support and Drivers".

Or you can tall me the make and model and I can show the link to the right driver in my next reply.

Dell 962 AIO Is Not Recognized As A Scanner

I contacted Dell Techical Support and they connecting to my system where they ran a cleanup utility (I think it deleted all the printer drivers) and then we downloaded the latest drivers and reinstalled the printer. At first it didn't appear to work correctly, but upon rebooting the system the printer was working correctly - scanner included. At the moment, all is well.

hmmm..interesting..sometimes, in the translation from one fax machine to another, the grey scale densities don't match up. So, your printer almost certainly has a higher resolution than a standard fax machine. Only way to do this is to test and attempt to balance it from one machine to another. Maybe you'll get lucky, and they will be compatible.

Go to Dell AIO and click on maintenace/ Troubleshoot on top of the page. Then go to maintain or fix quality problems.

Then choose the problem and run it.

My Dell AIO 962 Printer does not respond

The printer is dead and needs replacement. If covered under warranty, u can get a replacement from Dell. Speak to Dell support and they can give you alternative solution.
