There are 4 1000uf capacitors grouped tightly together on the DM board some models have 7 they. replace those capacitors with some available at radio shack and that should solve your problem. If you need more info let me know

Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.

If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.

The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.

Mitsubishi WS-65908 will not stay on

Its a color convergence problem from description:

If green light comes on for a few seconds and goes off:

On the front of the set (not the remote) press and hold both the menu and input (device) buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Watch power light: it will blink a two digit error code, in your case I suspect it will be 2 blinks, 2 blinks and repeat several times.

Let me know error code and I will help.

The Mitsubishi Diamond Series WS-65908 does not power up. The troubleshooting code is 2-4

1blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

If it is 2,4 you have a problem in the vertical circuit and I would suggest you first look for any signs of glycol there.

Let me know if you need more information.

I have a ws-65908 that won't power up. When I press the power on button, the green light at the ON button comes on then goes off 3 seconds later. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Have you tried to access the self diagnosis feature by holding in the menu button and the device/input button on the set for five seconds? The led should blink a series of blinks then pause briefly then blink another series of blinks for the 2nd digit let me know what the blink code is an I will assist you.

Turn on the TV and only Timer light is on , no sound & picture

press the menu and input/device buttons both in together on the front of the set and hold for 5 seconds and then see if the set blinks a number of blink pauses and then blinks another number such as 2 blink pause 2 blinks which would be a 22 caode. It then repeats that code.

If the set contiunes to blink after 70 secound after plug in then you maye have power issues or a possible bad digital board
