Could you check with the manufacturer of the jump drive if there are any drivers that can be downloaded from the internet as windows 98 requires drivers to use the jump drive.

I am unable to find your computer on the Dell Support site, so it may no longer be supported. You can try searching for drivers for your macine on Google, but you best option may be to buy a PCI adapter that gives you USB 2.0 ports. The USB ports on your computer are likely USB 1.0 which will either transer data very slowly perhaps not at all with the flash drive you mentioned.

I'm tryin to install the sierra wireless card 598 on win 98 manually. Does anyone know how to do

Hello sir, hi, installing a USB device on windows 98 is kinda hard but possible. here are some things that you should do:
  1. you may need the sierra CD device driver that comes with your wireless card.
  2. next is that your PC should support USB 1.1 or 2.0. If you are using windows 98, make sure that your USB port is working fine, you can insert a flash drive to confirm if your usb port is working.
  3. depending on the setup files they may need you to plug in the device as the setup file loads the driver or later.
  4. run the sierra CD setup file to install your wireless card. (hope win 98 supports this device)
  5. after the setup, plug in your wireless USB device, windows 98 should detect it.
If things didnt work out as listed above, do it setup several times, ............ still no progress call your dealer for proper installation on your PC.

My USB need F-disk driver

If you are using either Windows XP or Vista, you should not need a driver. Upon inserting the drive into the USB port, the operating system should recognize it and make it available.
If you are running Windows 98, you would need a driver and can download one free at...

Is there a driver to allow sony micro vault 2.0gb on win 98?

Specs say it is compatible with Windows 98 SE. Also says no drivers are needed for it. Make sure your plug 'n play is enabled on your computer. Once it is enabled just plug the drive in & Win 98SE should install it. If it does not work then try a different usb port as maybe a port is bad. Hope this helps.

Go to  http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/usbmsd98.php  and read it carefully.  Download the correct version of nusb and follow the installation instuctions to the letter!  Be prepared to spend a little time identifying any software in your Add/remove list that you don't recognize - don't guess - and remove USB devices from Safe Mode, to be certain you don't miss any.
If your mobo is USB 2.0 capable, you should now have it; if it's not, at least you'll have a generic USB 1.1 facility.  You should not need to remove viewer or album software, just the USB drivers and devices, but if you're of a nervous disposition, backup your system before you start!

I have Windows 98 and I need to download drivers for my USB DRIVE HOW AND WHERE CAN i DOWNLOAD

First you need win98SE (the Second Edition), still not sure that it will work I guess you try to conect a USB 2.0 device, I think that it will be better if you buy a 4 port USB 2.0 PCI card, install in an empty mainboard slot then install the USB drivers that come with the card and connect the device, be sure to ask the dealer for compatibility before you buy.

Windows 98 driver for FreeAgent

If your PC is still running Win98 then it probably has a USB version 1.0 port. I don't think the Faster USB version 2.0 devices will work properly even if you have the correct driver - i.e. you have a hardware version conflict. Try Purchasing a USB version 2.0 Daughter board for the PC and plugging the Seagate drive into that iinstead.
