    Try 'admin' and '1234'

If the router was supplied by your ISP, check with them to make sure they haven't changed the default settings.

Good afternoon.I would like to request for a USERNAME and PASSWORD for our DSL at PLANTER'S TRADE CENTER,ACCT # 310408468 at R.V.VILLAFLORES ST, CENTRAL BRGY.,HILONGOS,LEYTE.Contact # 09177050664./...

If your DSL (Modem/Router) was provided by ISP or your telephone company you need to contact them for the default username and password.

If the DSL (Modem/Router) was purchased separately, then you need to look for the manual or check the DSL (modem/router) website for the documentation on how to reset and generate default username and password.

Hope this helps.

I want to change my network password

Hi

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} Type the router's URL into your web browser. To access and change any settings on your router, you must log into the router's URL. This will allow your computer to communicate with the router and access the router's main page. When accessing the router's URL, use the same computer that was used to install the router. If you do not know the router's URL, look for this information in the router's manual or on the manufacturer's website. After entering the URL into the web browser's address bar, press "Enter" or click the "Go" button on the browser.
Input the router's default username and password. Once you enter the router's URL into your web browser, a dialog box will appear requiring you to input the router's username and password. (Note that this password is not the network password.) Unless you have previously changed the router's username and password, input the default ones. Many browsers have the default username of "admin" and have the password set as "password" or have no password at all. To find out your router's username and password, check the documentation that came with your router or check the manufacturer's website. Click "OK" to proceed to the router's main page.
Access the router's security settings. Depending on your brand of router, there will be tabs or links on the router's main page. One of these will contain the page for changing your security settings. Find and click the link or tab. This page will contain several textboxes, one of which will contain the SSID (name of the network) and two textboxes for changing the network password.
Select an encryption type and change the network password. Most new routers offer WEP (Wired Equivalency Privacy) security or WPA security. To create a password using letters and/or numbers, you must choose the WPA security setting. Change the network password by typing in a new password in the two textboxes. When you are finished, click "OK."
Save your changes and log out. After changing the network password, you must click "Save" or "Apply" to keep the password change. Log out of the router by clicking the "Logout" or "Exit" link on the router's main page. If you leave the main page open for a certain period of time, you may automatically be logged out of the router.

My Belkin 4 port router has the same IP as my Modem so my router will not detect my DSL connection. Ive asked Belkin for help but all they send me is gobblygoop!

Hi!
I'm sorry to hear that Belkin did not help you with your problem. Let me help you with your concern instead.

Here's what we need to do:

Start by resetting the router to factory default - you just need to press and hold the rest button on the router for about 30 seconds (with the power on).

1.) Disconnect the Belkin router from your modem , connect a PC to the router (use the LAN port - either port 1 to 4).

2.) Open Internet browser - clear the address bar and type in http://192.168.2.1 , press enter. It will ask you for a password , do not type anything just press Submit. You should be able to access the router's web interface.

The router's web interface should like this (depending on the model #):

92853d1.jpg

3.) Go to LAN settings. Change the router's IP address to 10.10.10.1 (this will be the new IP address of your router) . Apply the changes. Once youapply the changes, you can access the router using the new IP - http://10.10.10.1.

4.) Reconnect your modem - router and computers. Reboot device by switching off the modem , router and PC.

5.) Power up the modem first. Wait for about 2 minutes, power up the router and restart your PC.

The steps I gave is applicable if your modem is not on bridge mode. If your modem is on bridge mode (meaning it requires a username and password from your ISP) - access again the router by going to http://10.10.10.1 and do the following:

Click Internet WAN > Connection Type and select PPPOE. Type the username and password from your ISP. Apply the settings. Reboot the modem and router.

I hope that helps.

Good luck and have a nice day!

I want to secure my DL-524 but I keep getting blocked from admin management

Maybe someone took the ownership of the router by changeing the password.
If it's not letting you in with the default
username: admin
Password: admin

or
Username admin
Password: (no password at all)

Than you shold do a manual reset on the router, just grab a pen and there's a reset button on the back of the router, push it and it sets it back to factory defaults, than you should be able to log in with the router's default password and do the security.

I need to install a Linksys Wireless router to my pc.

Could we have the model number of the router please?

On older LinkSys routers, the default username is blank and the default password is "admin." On newer Linksys routers, both the default username and the default password are set to "admin."

Have you accessed and setup your wireless part of the modem?

To access the router settings menu, you will first need to log into the Wireless router following the steps below:
Open Internet Explorer
In the address bar type the following address:
192.168.0.1

You will be prompted to enter a Username and Password to access the interface, please use the following default details:
Username: This can be found on the bottom of the router
Password: This can be found on the bottom of the router

From the list on the left hand side, click on ‘Router Status’.
Within the Router Status section there are two areas you will be able to access:

Show Statistics
Connection Status

The Router Status page gives you a detailed status overview of the connection configured on the Wireless router.
Click ‘Connection Status’ to see more information on the broadband connection.
If you have already configured your broadband, you are able to establish/terminate the connection by clicking Connect/Disconnect.
You can also click ‘Show Statistics’ to show you current connection speed and more information on your Broadband connection.
Clicking on Basic Settings enables you to check all the Internet settings of your Broadband connection. Including the Login name (username) and password, IP address and type of connection.
Clicking on ‘Test’ will perform a standard check of your Internet connection and settings.
ADSL SETTINGS
The ‘ADSL Settings’ section provides you with some more information about your Internet connection. These are:
Multiplexing Method

- hope this helps

How do i configure my dlink 302g modem to my new ISP's settings?

Hi Nitangel
Before proceeding with modem installation you need to gather your connection details from your Internet Provider. You will need to know or find out the following information about your new ADSL connection from your Internet Service Provider:

Connection Type:
PPPoE
PPPoA
Bridge RFC1483

Default IP address: 10.1.1.1 (USB 10.1.1.2)
Username: admin
Password: admin

· Username / password (PPP connections only)
· IP address / Subnet Mask / Default Gateway (Bridge connections only)
· DNS IP Addresses (optional)

To set up, log into the modem using your WEB browser: type http://10.1.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter.
Enter username 'admin' and
password 'admin' (default setting).

Go to Quick Configuration page.
Set Refresh Rate to "No Refresh".

If it is a PPPoE or PPPoA CONNECTION:
Select Operation Mode: PPP.
In the Connection Type drop-down menu select PPPoE or PPPoA profile.
Enter username and your password.
Select CHAP under Authentication Type (check with your ISP if not sure).

If it is a BRIDGED RFC1483 CONNECTION:
Select Operation Mode: Bridge. If you do not see "Bridge" options please update your modem's firmware at http://www.dlink.com.au/tech/
Select LLC or VC Mux as suggested by your provider.

Make sure your VPI/VCI is set according to your ISP requirements:

Click on "Save & Reboot" to save settings.

Then give modem a minute or two to reboot and reconnect. Restart your computer and you should be able to access the Internet.

You do not have to run any login client on your computer or router because your modem logs to your ISP automatically.

Hope this information helps if I can help further let me know.
