I too had the problem, watching TV then suddenly a loud crack, and then the colour and picture started to fade, and then went blank - turned off the mains, and our TV does not work we have only had it for, wait for it,

18 months!!!! We work all day and it's only on for about 4 hours every night!

Any advice. We did not take out the extended guaranty.

Describe your sanyo flat screen tv parts/ screen Problem cracked screen can it be fixed and how much will it cost?

The price of a new screen is as much as a new TV. Find an identical TV at a garage sale, pawn shop, or a TV repair shop for salvage. If you are a do it yourselfer, then you can probably put one together. See "Encompass Parts, or Shop Jimmy" web sites for salvage. Just be patient as these TV have a large salvage demand. Good Luck and show a few hands of support!

50 " Samsung Plasma TV

Get the tech supplier to tell to the manufacture and the store what he told you.

Physical damage on any electronic device is very hard to have serviced under warranty. I have never seen a plasma display crack on its own. But, anything can happen.

I once saw a man drop a newly bought plasma TV in a parking lot outside from where he bought it and the screen broke. He never even made it home from the store!

Maybe you should contact a lawyer or someone who can give you legal advice about how to proceed with this. In different countries and different states the consumer protection laws are different.

ILo tv stuck on stand-by

there is some internal problem, maybe you must reheat the IC's inside or there is probably defective parts. Try if it oscillates if you turn it on by monitoring the collector voltage and it must be around 100 to 135 volts.

Volume of the tv goes up by itself and no other buttons are working on the remote or the Tv

sounds like theres a problem with the front panel push button for the volume; In most cases it gets pushed too hard or just too week to stand up to multible presses and so the button cracks and de[resses the switch. If one switch is depressed none of the others will work as well . Simply open cabinet and pull back the chassis and relese the stuck button
