I plugged my mp2 player into the usb to add more songs and normally a pop up screen comes up to open the herbert programme I use. But it didnt. My pc isnt recognising the drives and when I turn the player on I get the phillips screen for a while and then a "!" over a picture of the mp3 player comes up for a few seconds before turning off. I was just using the player about a hour before this happened, and it worked fine.

The Samsung YP-U3 is an MP3 player that comes in various colors. This device has a built-in USB plug, so it's not necessary to have a cable to transfer songs from your computer. To transfer songs to your device, you will need to use a PC. If you don't have the Samsung Media Center installation disc, you can download the software from the Samsung website.
Install the Samsung Media Center if you have not done so. This is the software used to transfer songs to the YU-P3. The installation disc comes with the device. Simply insert it and follow the on-screen prompts.
Insect the bottom end of your device. You'll see a hidden USB plug on the end. Push it outward to extend it. Plug the device into your computer's USB port. This is usually on the front of the tower. The Samsung Media Center will automatically start after a few seconds.
Locate the file you want to transfer to the device. The Media Center's screen will display the MP3 (and other audio) files currently on your computer. When you find a file you want to add, click on it.
Click on the "Right Arrow" button. This transfers the song to the device. Repeat to transfer more songs, if desired.
Right click on the green USB icon on the right-side of your taskbar. Select "Safely Remove." Unplug your Samsung YP-U3 when prompted.
It is very simple just connect your player to laptop through USB port . Then a pop up will come in your laptop that new hardware is installed and ready to open .Click it and open it ,then add songs to the folder music in the removable drive . And then click safe remove on the right bottom corner and remove your player . That's it song is copied .
if you have a windows machine, first plug the mp3 player in to one of the empty usb ports on your computer and let windows install it, now use windows media player to songs to it using sync or copy music to device
I PLUGGED IN MY MP3 PLAYER TO THE COMPUTER AND THE SCREEN ON MY MP3 PLAYER LIGHTS UP BUT the normal screen image for when you normally plug it into the computer ISN'T THERE AND I CAN'T ADD MUSIC ON MY MP3 PLAYER.
the song might not work because of how your trying to put on the mp2 player. Some mp3 players you cant just use the windows media player you have to open the player main device by open two sepert folders and drag and drop the song or album you want into the folder.
