LG monitor displays "D-SUB POWER SAVING MODE" when it is starting

The message it is displaying indicates that a VGA cable is connected and is not sending signal, or is sending a Monitor Off signal across the VGA cable. The motherboard battery will have no impact on this. If you are using something other than a VGA cable to send the signal to the monitor, then you should ensure that no VGA cable is plugged into the monitor, or the source on the monitor is not using the VGA connector.

Upgraded power supply, upgraded to AMD 965 Quad core, Mother board stops at error C5, monitor blank during this. C5 error says reset video controller. HOW?

try this: 1. turn off the computer 2. disconnect the VGA connector (the cable from the monitor) 3. remove the video card from the motherboard 4. the motherboard has the on board video controller, connect your VGA monitor to that slot. 5. turn on the computer, I hope by now your monitor is ok ;-)

Monitor says no signal..even installed a board mount new graphics card, and tried other monitors

Remove the new graphics card and use the onboard VGA output from the mother board. Make sure the cable is mounted all the way in - sometimes the connection is loose.

Well i wanted to know whats wrong with my computer i dont know if im missing some cables but it says no signal.

It says no signal can be that the video card is not putting out video signal to the monitor, you need another monitor to verify that or you can try reseating the video card if it is not the integrated video card in the mother board. It can be the VGA cable itself. Try thsi monitor with other PC to make sure it is not the monitor problem.

Sometimes No Video

Your Vga Driver is corruoted, if you have a Vga card separate reload the driver, if not reload the mother board driver. If the problem still appears, format the PC.

That is the best case. The other possibilty is mother board failure.

Good luck

Does old mother board supports LCD monitor?

You’ll be fine.
Most LCD monitors either have VGA connection you’ll need or have VGA plus other connections but, all you need is the VGA connection.

No signal to monitor when booting.

(1) Remove memory from mother board and start the system if you happen to listen long beep then RAM is not working properly.
(2) Clean RAM conducting area on mother board with clean cotton cloth, put one peice of RAM and test and check the othe peice also, if working you could any sign display . Before doing all these check mother board any LED is glowing if so your SMPS is working after you turn on UPS.

(3) Check for all proper connection for all cables. Have you connected video cable of monitor to mother board VGA (it will not work because it is disabled as soon as you installed XFX GeForce 8800 GT), your viedo output only will come through XFX GeForce 8800 GT VGA port.

(4) If propelm persits Deassmble complete the system and reassmble & do n't connect HDD, DVD, floppy. Cehck with bare mother baord, processor, RAM (put one picese at a time) by connecting viedo cable of monitor
