You need a new belt. When the green light goes out, the brush is not spinning. The belt is stretched and needs replaced. Here are detailed belt changing instructions....

You may need a new belt, it may have stretched enough so it isn't turning the brush roll anymore.

My Kirby is blowing out not sucking in how do I change this?

Either there is a blower option on the vacuum cleaner that needs to be set back to where it belongs, or somebody changed the brushes on the motor and got the brush or field wire connections reversed (one or the other, but not both).

The green light is not coming on and kirby is not sucking

HI There,

When the green lights do not come on when vacuuming with a Kirby, this indicates that your belt has either broken or fallen off. There is a magnet on the beater bar that activates the LED green light when it's spinning.

Here's a helpful video tutorial that we recorded, that will show you how to replace the belt, as well as perform basic maintenance on your roller brush to prolong the life of your belt as long as possible.

My kirby diamond vacuum is not sucking. the small

Greetings from GoVacuum,

When the green light on the Kirbys stops working, this indicates that your belt has either broken, or fallen off the cleaner so the brush is not spinning. You're probably noticing that it's not picking up as well without that green light. If the belt is broken, and you need to a purchase a new belt, GoVacuum offers these belts for sale here; Kirby Vacuum Cleaner Belts 301291-3 (3 pack) fits all Generation series models G3, G4, G5, G6, G7, Ultimate G, and Diamond Edition in a 3 pack.

Once you have the new belt, please watch our very helpful video on how to replace it, and to make sure that the belt is on correctly, and the green light is on.

Green light on power nozzle of Kirby vacuum, Model G7D

The green light is just to inform you that the brushroll is spinning. there is a magnet on the brushroll that makes the green light come on every time it rotates. also why it looks like the light flickers because the magnet only makes contact once per rotation of your brushroll. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Vacuume cleaner not sucking up properly. Have replaced belt but belt keeps snapping?

Check to see taht with no belt in place the brush roll turns freely. There should be no resistance. If not remove hair and thread from ends of brush
Then check the leveling screws on the end of the brush to be sure they are adjusted evenly.
Install the carpet head with the brush raised off the floor and lower with the pedal1 click at a time to carpet level just low enough to skim the surface, then try 1 click lower.

Kirby ultimate G My belt broke & sucked into my sweeper & got stuck. My husband had to take it a part, he go out the belt but the accessory lock now is striped. Can that be replaced? Have you ever heard of this?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Yes, the accessory lock can be replaced but it may be part of the actual vacuum head of which could be expensive, it may be molded onto the vacuum head and would be replaced. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

make sure the brushes on the shampooer head are spinning and that you have the shampooer head lowered all the way down to its lowest setting.
