Why isnt my ipod charging?

iPod's battery doesn't charge

Several things could keep your iPod's battery from charging. The major causes are listed below in logical order. Check each one to see if it's what's keeping your battery from charging.

Low-powered USB port

iPods that connect to USB ports require a high-power USB port.

Keyboards and some USB hubs will not charge iPod. Connect iPod directly to the computer or to a USB AC power adapter. Click here for more information.

Connect directly to computer

If you connect iPod to something that connects to the computer (like a USB hub or FireWire drive), connect iPod directly to the USB or

FireWire port on the computer.

FireWire port on a Windows PC

The FireWire (IEEE 1394) ports on some Windows-compatible computers may not be powered, and consequently won't charge iPod when you plug it in. Check here to see if the FireWire port on your PC can charge iPod.

Your computer goes to sleep

Your computer can only charge iPod when it's turned on and not asleep. Make sure your computer is on and not set to go to sleep when you want to charge iPod. Tip:

Some Macintosh computers can charge iPod even though they're asleep.
If your sleeping computer doesn't charge iPod, don't worry, just wake it and let iPod charge.

hope this helps

Ipod wont work

If it is under warranty still retrieve the serial number from the back of the iPod and call Apple to setup an appointment at your nearest Apple store to save you time. They only take appointments now that I know of.
If by resetting you mean by:
Holding down menu & play/pause?
If that doesn't work plug it into the computer, make sure you have iTunes installed and then try restoring it. And if THAT doesn't work, make sure you have the lastest iTunes, and firmware. Sometimes computers are a little iffy, if the connection noise is present and disconnected it could be the USB port. Sometimes on my phone/mp3 players it'll do that and they only liked to be plugged back into the same original port the USB driver was installed on. So if you plugged it through the front when it was working try that.

ITouch crashed and wont restart

try this
  1. Press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to iPod. When you reconnect the USB to iPod, the device should then power on.
  2. Continue holding the Home button while iPod starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo.
  3. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button and iTunes will display the recovery mode message:
  4. Restore and it'll download ~240mb firmware and you're done
If step 1 shows no reaction on your screen, the screen may have got damaged.

I don't have any info on this device. Would like to use it. Where can one get manual, or at least installation & operating instructions.

Bad news for you mattiebarbee.
The company that made this device went bankrupt and the last 'known' drivers were for WINDOWS 95.
So device is not USB but should have a 15 D-Sub plug that plugs into the pc (an old one at that as most modern ones wont have the corresponding connection,
Here is some extra info l did come across:

InterAct Racing Wheel FX Force Feedback - wheel, pedals specifications
  • General
  • Device Type Wheel , Pedals
  • Input Device
  • Connectivity Technology Wired
  • Buttons Qty 4.0
  • Features Programmable buttons , Throttle wheel , Force feedback
  • Expansion / Connectivity
  • Expansion Slot(s) None
  • Interfaces 1.0 x Gameport / MIDI - Generic - 15 pin D-Sub (DB-15)
Depending on your current Operating System, you could try connecting the device and see if the O/S automatically detects and installs the drivers.

By the looks of things, l think you may have to 'retire' the device and purchase something more current

Good luck anyway

My ipod wont turn on or charge.

More than likely the battery just needs to be replaced. I let my nano go dead and it was doing the same thing. So just get it replaced and that should fix your problem.
