You have had power in pc and wire have touched/connected to something they shoundnt of and shorted.
you could of looked at a service manual first which would of clearly stated remove power cable and battery first and ground to discharge any static.
if youre lucky you may get it to start.try startup with first only power cable(battery not connected) Then battery only connected.if not work power on circuit on motherboard blown, probably transistor easy to repair but not for the novice.

cant say for the sony vaio never had to dismantle screen. If it was in front of me no doubt I could sort it ;as Ive never needed to use a service manual ever, but Ive been repairing laptops for years so have a lot of experience.

It would really help you if u was to get a service manual then u could check the precedure for dismantle.

I have a sony VGN-FE890 and I took it out from my luggage this morning and the screen is messed up. I can still see stuffs but the brighness is so low. I tried to adjust the brightness, but it's not...

Many times this is an inverter issue or a wire that is pinched. Check to see if moving the screen forward or backword gives you better brightness. however, many times this is just a setting.

You can try using the FN key located on the keyboard lower left side. Hold that down and press the function Key (f1-f12) that shows a picture of a SUN and a Plus sign. Now this can also be on the Arrow keys (depends on the keyboard).

If that doesn't work you will have to take it in.

I dropped my laptop, Vaio VGN-NR185E, and the screen is turning blue with the white colors, so if there's a blank page it's blue instead of white, I believe it's the inverter or maybe a loose wire, What do...

If the unit was dropped, it could be that a wire /cable came loose, but it most likely is the LCD screen. Was the unit dropped on one edge of the unit or did it land flat?

on edge: probably the LCD screen
flat: loose cable or inverter

Best guess....without seeing unit.

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

The power light is showing but the hard drive light is not

Try reseating the hard drive and trying. Maybe the wire might have gone loose.

VAio VGN-FS742 Screen does not display

Try to remove the battery, remove AC adapter, and press and hold power button for 45 sec. reinsert battery, and Plug and try again, if that doesn't solve it, you may need to try to change memory first, (cheapest) or the motherboard or CPU.

Please give good rating if this helps your issue, Thanks

Were do you find the switch for the wireless on these laptops

It all depends on the Make / Model. Some are physical (hardware) switches and some are software.
VAIO (General) - Switch on front left
VAIO (General, not further identified) - Button (or slide switch) on the Front Left or Right side
VAIO - VGW-AW125T - Button on Front Left, below keyboard
VAIO - VGN-AX570G - Button on Front Left
VAIO - VGN-B2560 - On top left of Keyboard (light say's wireless when on)

The vertical line is a bad pixel sensor at the edge of the screen, your screen has hundreds of vertical and horizonal pixel sensors. This is an indicator that the screen is going out and need replacing.
