Electrolux Oxygen3 model EL7001

I have a replace cover for the model EL7001. Is there a diagram I can access to show how to take the old one off and install the new one. The door clips on the crrent on will not hold and the cover keeps popping open.

If it is the top cover, the monitoring panel just pops off from the backside. You can use a thin knife or screwdriver and push on the locking clips, it then just hinges off of the front clips. After that is off you can see the two screws and after the top cover hinges off the actual door to the vac bags is attached to that cover it too hinges off.

Hope this helps

Riccar 8955 power cord replacement

Remove the dust compartment door to gain access to the cover over the wiring and switch compartment. Remove three screws to gain access to be able to remove the old power cord and slide it through the hole in the back of the vacuum. Put new cord through the hole and wire back up as it was before.

How do I get the u5290-900 apart far enough to remove old power cord and plug in a new one?

First you need to remove the Dirt Cup followed by the front cover / handle. Page 4 1-6 of the PDF Manual below shows how to do this.

http://static.fixya.com/Manuals/H/Hoover/5288_900_prg_B4F5E4DE0DB02590E2525C367EFB5C4C.pdf

This should then give you access to remove the internal cover and replace your cable.

Changing the belt

Always make sure your machine is unplugged from the outlet before replacing the belt.
Newer Oreck uprights have an access plate on the right hand side of the base (as you're looking at it from the front). Remove the one screw from the access plate and slide it forward. Snake the new belt around the brush roll pulley and then strrrrrrretch it back to the motor shaft. Replace the access plate.
If your model does not have an access plate; turn the machine upside down, Remove all screws. Lift the bottom plate off. Observe the position of the brush roll ends, One side of each end cap will have several notches cut into it,this is the 'new' side, the other side is smooth, this is the 'old' side. You can reposition the brush roll the the 'old' side if your bristles appear worn down.
With the brush roll still removed; place one end of the belt over the motor shaft first, place the other side of the belt around the brush roll pulley and stretch the brush roll forward until it is back in place.
Spin the brush roll by hand before replacing the cover to ensure the belt is not pinched.
Replace to cover.

Belt repair kenmore model 57612690 belt 20-5285

You can get the belt you need here:

Kenmore 20-5285 Belt

Replacing the belt is quite simple. First, push inward on each side of the light cover on top of the power nozzle and it will lift off. You will then see (2) access screws. Remove the screws and then the top cover can be removed from the base of the power nozzle. You can then remove the old belt and replace it with a new one. Hope this helps!

How do you change the belt?

Two methods:

1) If your vacuum has the small side door on the cover of the lower unit, can remove the screw, it will allow you to access the belt. I assume old belt is broken, so what you see will be the end of the motor shaft ( a small, round shaft about 1/4" in diameter) and the end of the brush roll, (about a 3/4" to 1" round plastic knob attached to the end of the brush roll.) Make sure each of these turns freely, otherwise you are going to burn up another belt. Slide belt over these two points, replace the access cover, and turn on.

2) If you have an older unit or maybe the commercial unit, you will need to remove the bottom cover. A bunch of screws, don't remember how many at this time. After you remove the cover, you will see the two points I described above. Replace belt then replace the bottom cover (called a baseplate on a parts diagram probably). Make sure the rubber bumper is properly seated, it can be a pain sometimes.

While inside the unit under either scenario, I always would try to clean out any excess dirt, dust, etc.

I need diagram of replacing on/off switch for Oreck XL2600

Manual would not, they want you to pay a service tech.

Believe this model has switch in grip,
1. Unplug unit.
2. remove screws from grip.
separate the grip halves to access switch.
3. I believe the power cord, where it enters the grip, has slip on terminals that fit on the switch. Just substitute the wires and re-assemble.

Should not require any soldering. Be careful, routing of the cord in the handle is difficult as I remember, depending on the year model, sometime in late 90s they went from a molded in strain relief to a serpentine path.

Eureka the boss vacuum cleaner brush won't turn

Take the top cover off, remove the torx screws on each side of the motor housing, remove the screw on the back holding the hose, then you just have to compare the 2 before putting on the new one. Can't tell for sure without a model number to get you a picture. What isn't on the new base, take off the old base and put it on the new one.
