My motorola is going nuts.....when i turned it on it directly goes into the ring styles menu and keeps on changing non stop....i can get out of that menu and practically i cant even do anything on this phone right now....i wanted to know if you ever experienced something like this before and if there is a solution to this problem...thanks
I have... support would ask you if there is any physical damage, did it get wet... If both are no then you could try a master reset which you look up and try... It may be too late if you can't get it to be able to go into that area of the phone. All the tricks to fixing the phone won't work if ;you can't get it to reset.
Is it a windows mobile device??? They are prone to spyware and viruses now. great news huh!

When you change the ring on your Motorola V360 from the standard ring to another of your choice, you give the phone a personal touch. Rings, or ringtones, are included with your phone. You can also download and install ringtones from a mobile content provider or your mobile service provider. The ring you select sounds anytime you receive an incoming call. You can change the ring at anytime through the Motorola V360's settings menu.
1.Press the "Menu" key on your Motorola V360 and click "Settings."
2.Click "Ring Styles" and select "Style Detail."
3.Highlight "Calls" and press the "Change" soft key.
4.Highlight the ring you want to use on your Motorola V360. When highlighted, a brief preview of the ringtone will play.
5.Press the "Select" soft key to choose the ringtone.
6.Press the "Back" key to set the ringtone on the Motorola V360

Set phones ring style as "Vibrate then Ring" , "Vibrate" , or "Silent" to avoid the power on alert.
I set my ring style to "Vibrate then ring" so that I dont have to change the settings everytime I turn it on or forget to so when I receive phone calls or alerts it still rings & then I dont have to go back and change the settings again when I turn tha phone off so that is dosent have the power on alert.
This is the Only way I have found to turn the phone power on tone/alert off.
Change Ring Style:
-Go to Main Menu
-Select Ring style
-Then choose change, & set it to the ring style you want.
Like most of the W377, this one's very odd. The only way I know how to do this is to switch off all Key tones. Key volume is part of the Ring Style menu, so:
> On the Detail menu use the 4 way selector arrows to cursor down to Key Volume
NB The Ring Style settings for ALL ring parameters (Ring Volume, Line 1, Text Msgs, Voicemail, Alarm, and Key Volume) change whenever you select a different Ring Style, so you can set up one ringtone in Loud Ring but get a different one for Soft Ring, a different one for Vibrate and Ring, a different one for Vibrate then Ring, etc.
For the sake of sanity (and to avoid the alarm waking me up with a loud blast of Bach when I wanted a quiet 'Ding') I have set the same ringtones etc in all of the above profiles.
BTW whenever you can't find a menu you need, try pressing the black round button (OPEN MENU) in the middle of the 4 way selector arrows - it opens submenus that can't be accessed any other way.
I had the same problem, and I just figured it out...
Go to the main menu, then go to settings...after that go to ring style....then go to detail(it will say whatever you ring style is, and then detail after that) then scroll down till you see key volume, then turn it all the way down to zero!!!
That beeping was getting on my nerves!
Hope it works for you too!
